“In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life:
It goes on.

While in a car, I don't prefer talking to anyone whatsoever, But I do make exceptions sometimes, Like for example when I see a monster approaching me.

I was looking out the window, watching the clouds gather up, ready to pour onto the city, I had really seen the future...Was that even possible for a demigod?

I don't think children of Poseidon have the power to look into the future, If I were a daughter of Apollo I think it would make sense but as a daughter of  Poseidon? And what was with those random images that I were forming in Percy's eyes and in his watch? Maybe I'm going blind...

Now, I know I'm not wearing my glasses and most of you must've been going crazy on the fact that I'm not wearing them, but you see, someone or rather, some monster broke my glasses before I reached New York and I didn't have time to buy new ones so I have to deal with it until I get back to camp.

It had been pretty long now, How much longer to camp? I wondered. I looked at Percy but before I could ask him the same, I realized there was a crown on his head? I wanted to ask him about the crown but it disappeared as soon as it appeared.

Weird.

Now I was pretty sure that I was hallucinating. I decided not to pay my hallucinations any attention and started speaking. "Percy, How much longer till we reach Camp?" He took a heartbeat to answer "Not too long" he didn't look at me while answering, His eyes fixed on the road.

I decided not to trouble him and started staring out at the sky again. Percy took a sharp turn into the deserted area of Long island sound. I held onto my seatbelt and looked at him. "We're being followed!" He said while driving the car as fast as possible.

I looked behind and realized that we were being followed by an Astripi , a monster that looks like an amoeba but is a lot bigger, it was an elemental monster, I started brainstorming on how to kill it. I remembered hearing that the secret to killing it is hidden in it's name, "Astripi" as in Lightning, meaning that only Lightning or the Electro element could kill it, No metal would do any harm, But we were both children of Poseidon and Camp was still far away, How do we defeat it...

I had no time to think further because our car crashed into a tree. I broke open the seatbelt and pushed open the door on my side while Percy opened the door on his. I turned towards the Astripi and threw a pen knife I kept with me at it. It did no damage to the Astripi so me and Percy had only one thing we could possibly do.

RUN

We both ran for our lives, if we could get close enough to the water, we both could swim our way out of here, but the Astripi was fast and we had no time. Percy used his power and commanded the clouds above to start raining since that increases a chance of lightning. Nothing was working, we ran for a couple minutes before we were surrounded by Astripus (Singular- Astripi ) of all sizes.

The water was still a long way away, Percy brandished Riptide, his lethal ball point pen and uncapped it which turned it into a sword. Me on the other hand still didn't have a sword to my name, I was still the swordless Adara who fought with random weapons everytime she entered a battle.

Today's weapon was "Hands". Below me, I noticed a few rocks, I bent down and picked one up. Change of weapons!, Today's weapon is "Hand and Rock", I hope they make a great team against a bunch...or herd or pack or whatever you use, of Astripus....Wait, Isn't Astripus referring to a plural noun already?
