Chapter 3 - The death of a loved one

I was standing there in shock. Thoughts flooded me, even though I am a person who over thinks on a daily basis and is practically used to it, that moment I felt like...I don't know what I felt. I had a lot of thoughts, Too many to count.

I was claimed again?

By one of my least favourite god?

Zeus out of all the Greeks?

Why me?

I was already claimed by Poseidon, How is it possible that some other god just randomly claims me?

What in the Hades was going on?

Nothing made any sense. I looked at Percy for some kind of support, but he was just as confused as me, Akari looked at me with dagger eyes, as if I were pretending to get claimed again. Jason looked at Percy and they both had a silent argument, It seemed like Jason won. Ashley was the only one who seemed to be understanding anything, but she seemed as if she wished her theory was false.

Dazai got up and looked at me, "Does that make you a daughter of Zeus now? Weren't you already claimed by Poseidon?" He asked, I felt like everyone was blaming me for this. I didn't do anything! Before I could say anything, Ashley signalled me to wait.

Ashley got up and walked towards me. Then she turned towards the crowd while holding my hand for emotional support. She spoke with confidence "If I'm not wrong, she has been openly claimed by Lord Zeus himself, Until we find out how to solve this confusion, we will go by recent claims, Adara Aqua Flaire will be considered as a daughter of Zeus and will move in with Jason and Akari."

Chiron looked at everyone as if approving the decision. Ashley started again "So...Everyone can go back now."

Everyone went back to their Cabins, but I was standing there, motionless, along with Percy, who was still loading, Akari looked pretty annoyed and was pulling on Jason's arm. Ashley scanned everyone of us. Finally she signalled something to Akari. Akari clapped her hand in front of everyone startling everyone back to life.

"Are you going to sleep here or what? Lights off in 10" Akari told me and walked away with Jason who was still processing. I looked at Percy, "What is this supposed to mean?" I suddenly felt rage building inside of me, I felt like bursting open. I looked at the sky and shouted "Zeus! Poseidon! Why are you both messing with me!" I jerked my leg and my shoe flew all the way towards Jason, hitting his legs.

Akari looked back and picked up the shoe, then she threw the shoe back at me. I felt like the winds were on her side, my shoe hit me on my face and sent me flying onto the table behind me. "Slay" said Ashley, while hurrying towards me. She helped me get back onto my feet. Percy was still loading. Then he held my hand tightly, If he held any tighter he would be successful in moulding the shape of my hand.

"What is this supposed to mean Adara? Am I not your brother anymore?" He had tears in his eyes, he tried to blink them away but failed miserably, The next few scenes went in the blink of an eye.

I don't even remember most of it. My eyes went blurry and my ears went blank, I'll let Ashley take it a bit from here.

P.O.V. Ashley

As the smart human I am, I could sense Adara getting sick. Logically, no one would like being told that their family isn't their family at all. Adara is someone who's been talked about a lot at camp since she played a major role in defeating Gaea. I personally like to keep a watch on everyone, and basically know everything about them, or atleast most things.
