It's been two years since Leo left to Central America to do some leadership training, and your heart has been aching ever since. Ever since you met him and his brothers one night while you were walking home, you grew a crush on the blue clad turtle. But that crush eventually blossomed into pure love. You were going to tell him your feelings for him, but that was the night where Master Splinter told him he needed to leave to do some training for a year. Your heart felt crushed when he told you. On the day he left, he promised that once the year was done, he'll come back quicker than you would think. But he didn't. Two years and he didn't return. You two wrote to each other constantly, but one day, he just stopped. You waited and waited for him to come back to New York, back to his family, back to you. You laid on your bed, your face covered with dried tears after constant hours of crying. You were losing hope to ever thinking that Leo would ever come back. Your thoughts were interrupted when you heard a knock on your window. At first, you didn't know who it was, do you ignored it. The knocking continues. You sighed while getting up from the bed. Once you look at the window, your eyes widen and a small gasp came out of your mouth. Outside of your window was the turtle in blue himself, Leonardo.
He smiles at you, the smile that always made your heart skip a beat. In one split second, you rushed over to the window, opened it, and instantly wrapped your arms around him in a tight hug. He returned it, hugging you just as tightly. He buried his head between your (h/l) (h/c) hair and neck. "I missed you so much" you said to him. "I missed you too, (y/n). So much" he said. You slowly break away from the hug, looked into his eyes and said "how come you stopped writing to me, I was getting really worried. I didn't know if you were alive or not". Leo looked at your sad expression and said "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you upset. It's just...I didn't want to seem like a failure. I was going to come back a year ago, to face my fears, but I couldn't. I was so caught up in my training, that I forgot about everybody else. I'm very sorry, I hope this could be the best way to forgive me". You were confused. Before you could say anything, he presses his lips against yours in a soft kiss. Your eyes widen. But you got over your shock and kissed him back. You wrapped your arms around his neck and he wrapped his around your waist. After a couple minutes, you both pulled away breathlessly. "I love you, (y/n), I have for the longest time" he confessed. A smile grew on your face and you said "I love you too, Leonardo, ever since I met you". You two hugged each other. From that night on, you two have been inseperable ever since.
