The bottle clinking together only fuels my headache as I rush from customer to customer, serving drinks and flirting with drunk old men for tips.
"Estella! Honey! how have you been?" I hear Bill from behind me, our 52 year old regular.
"I've been good Bill and how are you" I say, putting down the drinks I'm holding and walk over to him.
He grabs my hips, much to my displeasure, and kisses my cheek
"Much better now that I'm here with you, babe" he says before I lead him to a booth where he takes a seat
"I'll take a beer, thanks babe" he winks at me before answering a call from someone. Most likely his wife.
He picks it up and waves a dismissive hand at me.
As I turn and walk away I resist the urge to roll my eyes but as i make my way to the counter where more customers await to be served, a man walks in, scruffy and tired looking.
I pay no attention to him as I cross the counter and begin pouring more drinks.
I watch the man sit in front of me with his hands on his face.
"Hey, uh..Estella" I watch as he reads my name tag pinned on my shirt
"Mind getting me a Martini? I've been really needing one this past week"
he chuckles to himself as I make his martini Infront of him
"So, what's got you all worked up?" I ask, hoping for some juicy story I can tell to my friends later
"My girlfriend just dumped me and I have a lot of work to do by tomorrow with not enough time." He says, exhaling
"Yea. I understand. Life can be tough sometimes but ya just gotta rough through it" I smile at him and he gives a slight smile back but it's not long before he goes back to being upset.
I hand him the martini and he accepts it gratefully* Time skip*
It's been about an hour and Me and Him have been talking nonstop.
I've learned that his name is Elias Moore and that he is a surgeon.
"You know, you're really pretty, Estelle" Elias says, slightly slurring his words
"I believe your drunk Elias" I gently smile at him before checking the clock above us
"How about I drive you home, huh, my shifts over in 20 minutes " I watch as he stares at me for a moment before responding
"Yea, that's great" he puts his head on the table and I take his cup from him, officially cutting him off for the night.20 minutes later and we are ready to go, we get in my car and soon enough we are driving off to his house
"It's there" he points to a big house in a rich neighborhood.
"Damn" I mutter to myself before pulling into his driveway
"Alright, we're here, wake up" I shake him a little and he doesn't budge.
I begin to shake him a little harder before he finally gets up
"What.." he turns towards me before handing me a set of keys
"Go open the door" he leans back against the seat before dozing off once again
"How irresponsible!" I complain before opening my car's door and walk up the stairs to his house and unlock the double doors
I'm still catching my breathe from the stairs as I make my way back to the car where he's already out and stumbling over to the house
He grabs onto me, falling over, tried to continue walking
"Wait, wait!" I reposition him to where he's not hanging into both ny shoulder but leaning against my right as I begin to take him in the house.
We make it to the stairs where he holds onto the handrail and walks up by himself.
I watch carefully to make sure he doesn't hurt himself before he almost runs into a piller.
"Be careful!" I pull him out the way of the pillar and through the doors where I notice another big staircase and a massive chandelier hanging from the roof.
He automatically tries to go for the stairs before I grab into his hand, gently helping him up.
He walks to the right where a big door stands, he opens it up and inside is a beautiful black bedroom.
He takes off his shirt before climbing into bed
I stand there awkwardly before turning and beginning to walk out before I hear his voice
"Get me some water" I turn and see his gaze dead on me, looking completely sober.
My jaw drops at realizing he tricked me into coming to his house
"You- you" I stutter out, completely confused at his tricks
"You- you" he mocks. Go get me some water, I said, the kitchens downstairs to the left.
'god I have a killer headache" I hear him mutter to nobody in particular
I stare for a second before coming to my senses
" Why should I? You just tricked me, I'm going home!" I yell at him, causing him to sit up and shoot me an angry glare
"Estelle. It's the middle of the night, almost one o'clock in the morning. The neighborhoods past this one are very dangerous. So either you go get me the damn water and get in bed or you can go out and get shot for all I care. Choice is yours" he waits for my answer, still staring at me.
I stay silent before turning away and going downstairs, turning into the kitchen and grabbing some water from the fridge.
I hurry up the stairs and back into his bedroom where he's laying still.
"I have your water" I whisper
He sits up and grabs it from my hands before moving over on his bed and laying back down
"..so where am I gonna sleep" I question, hoping he didn't mean with him
"Didn't I just make room for you? If you want to, you can sleep on the floor" he says
I keep quiet as I slowly make my way into his bed and lay down.
His back faces me and my back faces him.
"This kind of sucks, but at least im safe.." I think to myself and my thoughts keep me company until I can finally drift off to sleep.(Here's Elias house btw)
