Emlyn sat at her desk that night and worked on the last chapter of this story. Ginger's happy ending, now, of course, she couldn't just write that Ginger got a happy ending. It wouldn't be perfect, but how do you write a happy ending? She wondered this to herself as she placed pen to paper and began.
Ginger would wake up that next morning having a soul; no longer would she be plagued by the darkness of being all demon. She would be the first demon to ever have a soul; why is she still a demon, you may ask? You can't take away what makes a person special, but you can make them more special.
Her life would continue with simple bliss; she would find her true love; oh, who might that be, you may ask? Lillian, of course, as if that wasn't obvious, the two would have the perfect, sweetest romance. For the first time in history, a demon would not only have a soul but have a human soulmate.

Ginger woke up as soon as the sun streamed through the window. She felt different; she felt alive. She went to Emlyn's office and found her there having tea with Stella. "Good morning, Ginger; you're up early," Emlyn said, smiling, and Ginger smiled back.
"I am, and I feel alive; who's my soulmate? Come on, don't make me guess!" Ginger said, and Emlyn and Stella shared a look and chuckled.
"You mean you don't know?" Stella asked, and Ginger looked confused.
"No? Should I?" She asked, and Emlyn giggled.
"Come on, it's obviously Lillian, now don't waste time with the, "no it's not" and go get her!" Emlyn chuckled, and Ginger rolled her eyes but left.
Ginger drove to Lillian's house and knocked on the door. A tired Lillian answered, holding a cup of coffee and blinked at her, and yawned. "What is it, Ginger its like 6 am?" Lillian said, and Ginger took a deep breath and smiled.
"Will you go on a date with me?" Ginger asked rather bluntly, and Lillian giggled.
"Really?" She asked, surprised, and Ginger nodded.
"Yes, really, I like you a lot, if I'm being honest," Ginger said; she liked Lillian since the moment she met her. She never thought she would have a soulmate though, so she originally ignored the thought. Now, she had been presented with the opportunity of a lifetime, and she wasn't letting it go.
"I'd love to; want to go to breakfast? I know a great spot!" Lillian said, and Ginger smiled.
"I'd love to, but I'm driving," Ginger said with a chuckle, and Lillian laughed well.
"Fair enough, I'll be right back."
Ginger and Lillian went to breakfast and soon found themselves together, dancing under the stars, illuminated in the light.
Lillian leaned up for a kiss, but Ginger stepped back, "are you sure?"
"Come on, would it really kill you if we kissed?" Lillian said with a giggle.
Ginger leaned in, and the two shared a kiss before a loud clap of thunder shook the ground, "damn, we better get home and miss that storm." Ginger said, and the two went to the White Castle.
"Thank goodness you're back! We have a problem." Emlyn said, rushing over to the two.
"What is it this time?" Ginger asked, with her arm wrapped around Lillian.
"She's back."
