Hastinapur.

Third Person's POV

Hastinapur.

The magnificent city of the Kurus, also known as the city of the Gandharvas, was known for its rich history and culture. One after the other, resplendent Kings ruled it.

Previously ruled by the illustrious son of Kousalya or Ambalika, the mighty-armed Pandu, the city was now in the hands of his elder brother Dhritarashtra, both obtained by niyog from Maharishi Ved Vyas, after King Vichitravirya dies a sudden death. The son of Ambika possessed great strength, but was debarred the throne for being sightless from birth. As a result, Pandu had ascended the throne, and through his conquests, he became the undefeated King of the Earth.

But look at the cruel destiny.

Pandu succumbed to a curse after accidently killing a pair of deer engrossed in love, which to his horror was Rishi Kindam and his wife. Enraged by the King, the divine sage cursed him to meet a similar fate if he ever attempted to engage in acts of pleasures with any woman. He renounced his enormous Kingdom, and opted a simple life with his wives Kunti and Maadri, in Shatasringa. Temporary joy engulfed them, when both his wives were blessed with divine sons of Gods, with the help of Kunti's boon.

On the other hand, Dhritarashtra and his wife Gandhari were blessed with one hundred sons, the Kauravs, due to the boon given to Gandhari by Lord Shiv.

Arjun, the son of the mighty armed Shakra, the resplendent Indra, the third among the five Pandavs was living a peaceful life in the laps of Shatasringa with his brothers. Merely fourteen, his life was thrown into that of a disaster when Pandu and Maadri, both leave their mortal bodies, leaving the five of them and Kunti in a state of distress.

His feet felt the unfamiliar soil, it wasn't mountainous soil anymore on which he used to run and walk upon. It was the soil of the city, the city which was once ruled by his late father. The enormous gate, studded with magnificent jewels and carved with gold stood in front of him, even taller those banyan trees he used to climb upon and feel the tallest.

"Is this where Pita ruled?" Arjun heard his eldest speak, his eyes taking in each and every detail of the city. All they had seen were villages made of huts and hays, but now those were replaced with houses made of bricks.  Kunti smiled at them and nodded, "Your father's Kingdom it is sons, Hastinapur."

Arjun knew that his life was not going to be anymore trees and waterfalls, but something else. . He wouldn't be the boy anymore, playing hide and seek in the caves and bushes. He was going to live the life of a Kuru Prince, or rather a Kshatriya, follow the Dharm of a Kshatriya.

And following the Dharm of a  Kshatriya was much more beyond the luxuries, gold, silver and lavishness.

And when Arjun determines to become someone, there was no going back to it. He would chisel himself, mould himself, shape himself to shine lustrously as the diamond out of a rock.

Come what may.

Arjun growing up 🌝😍✨.

So welcome to the second part of the series friends! *grins happily*

So yeah before beginning, I would again like to tell that from here onwards the events will be as per BORI CE so as the characteristics also. You know if I don't inform then some 'very loving' people from all around will give their sympathy to 'you know who' 🙂🙂🙂🙂.

Secondly, from this book, you'll find Arjun maturing a bit. I mean his way of thinking in his POV will mature, you'll hopefully understand the difference as the chapters proceed. The fact that in majority books I don't get to understand when the character grows up from a child to an adult, the POV's are undiscernible. I will try my best so that you'll can differentiate between child Arjun, teenage Arjun and an adult Arjun hopefully 🥺✨.

Thirdly, this book won't be updated regularly as the last book, because last book was very small and perhaps easier to write. I have my college too moreover .🥺

And above that I realized that continuous publish ain't fetching me good votes too, so I need to take care of that.  Also the last book was updated so fast for the only reason to check the responses that whether you all are loving the series or not :)

So yeah, from now on, I will update suitably. Since I too have to think regarding balancing Arjun's character so each chapter needs special care. Hope you guys will support me 😍✨👉👈.

Signing off for today~
