Well, after that I guess you can imagine what happened next, we became friends and basically shared to eachother everything that happened to us when we weren't in school or together. so you could probably say we were bestfriends! it is present day and I do have a date to go to with someone I just met by another friend called Alissa, I don't think I mentioned her but we met way after I became friends with João. I am actually quite nervous about this date because I've never been one before so I don't really know this goes. Suddenly I hear my phone ringing, which made me jump in surprise because I was lost in my thoughts. Picking it up, I answer with a "Hello? who is this??". "Hey, it's Alissa, I changed my old number to this new one I'm calling you with" she said. "ohh okay that explains the unknown number on my phone" I say laughing. "Anyways how was your date??" she asks in a singsong voice type of way. "I haven't gone yet, it starts at 9:30, it's currently 8:30 I still have another hour left" "ohh well tell me all about it when it's over!" "I will, also I don't really know how this goes because I've never really been on a date before so what I if I mess up or it goes really awkward?" I ask. "oh don't worry about it, just go with the flow, BYE-". and with that, Alissa hang up on me, giving me no good advice whatsoever. "Alissa?? Alissa, ALISSA NO WAIT IM NOT DONE OH MY GOSH" I screamed loudly that you can even hear echos bouncing back from my hallway. I try to call her, but she just WONT ANSWER!! so I tried texting her, and to my surprise it actually worked, finally. the texts reading: "me: Alissa I need to ask you one more thing." "Alissa: yea sure go on." "me: I don't know if I should tell João about the date like I don't really think he has to know." "Alissa: why won't you tell him, he is your bestfriend and you told me." "me: yea but that's different because you would probably understand this topic more than him, but I also feel like I should tell him because I don't like to hide stuff from him." "Alissa: well, just do what you think is best, but I think you should tell him. Oh my, just look at the time, it's 9:00 you better get ready to go or else you'll be late." "me: okay thank you so much, and byee 💕" "Alissa: bye have fun. 💕💕". I quickly end the conversation and put on my beautiful red shoes and a red coat to match and head out to get a taxi to the restaurant me and my date were supposed to go. As I waiting, I took some time to acknowledge the surroundings around me. there was a really pretty tree that was so green I didn't even believe it was real. I also felt that really strong breeze hit my face, you know those types of breezes that push past everything in their way. I also heard frantic cars beeping all out once at an old lady trying to get to the other side of the pavement. As quick as I can, I ran to help her out. I grabbed her hand and her groceries in the other and safely guided her to where she wanted to go. "why thank you lovely young child" the lady said. "oh it was nothing you're welcome" I tell her. I walk back to where I was until, I heard I another car beep, but this time it was towards me. "I AM ON THE PAVEMENT STOP BEEPING AT ME!!!" I yell. Suddenly, the tinted windows roll down and looking at me was a very familiar face. a familiar face I had been trying to avoid. João. "hey y/n long time no see" he says it as a joke. "João, it's only been 6 days since we've seen each other " I say firmly. I still haven't forgotten what he said to me that day. "y/n are you seriously still mad about that day? come on, I had a reason to say that you do this everytime and you are doing it again" he says. "doing what? tell me how am I acting childish and bitchy??" I let out. "ugh just forget it okay?" he says. "okay, but I don't like to fight with you João" I say calmly. "yea neither do I, so let's just leave this situation. also why are you dressed like that??" he asks. "dressed like what?" I try to play it off. "like you are going somewhere special, listen I don't want to make you feel like you have to tell me everything okay?" he tells me. "okay but I'm just going to Alissa's house " I lied. NO WHY WOULD I LIE, I COULD HAVE JUST TOLD THE TRUTH. BUT THEN HE SAID I DIDN'T NEED TO TELL HIM SO ITS FINE?? RIGHT!!? "oh really I'm going there as well, wanna come with me?" he asks. "oh..no don't worry about it you can go I'll meet you there " I say trying to maintain that calm voice I had before. "are you sure y/n there's space?" he says. "oh yeah I'm sure u can go " I tell him. As I watch him drive past, I start panicking but then remember that I'll just make a lie up. yea that'll do right?
