I enter my house, lost deep in thought about that phrase that João said to me. "my love". I don't want to overthink it because I mean, he could've meant it in a friendly way, we are nothing more than friends. Besides, he has magui and I have Alex. I quickly run a hot shower and get in, singing my heart out, giving a free concert to my neighbors around me. "CAN YOU KEEP IT DOWN IN THERE, I'M TRYING TO SLEEP!!" I heard my annoying neighbor, miss miller, who never seems to be happy or Nevers smiles. I have never seen miss miller laugh, cry, or smile before, it's like she's emotionless and it's really creepy if you ask me. "SORRY FOR THAT!" I yell back. honestly Ms miller should be grateful for my shower concerts, it's free. As I finish, I turn of the water and brush my teeth to go to bed, when I heard my phone ringing. it was Alissa, maybe she wanted to know how my date went. I picked up with a "Hey Alissa!". "João told me what happened... EVERYTHING" she says. "oh. well I was planning to tell you before he did but I guess you already know" I respond. "GIRL you messed up big time, please just please next time don't lie to any of us, we're supposed to be bestfriends okay?" she says. "okay Alissa, but he also lied to me so we're both in the wrong right?" I ask hoping for a yes. "yes, actually you are both wrong and you should both apologize to eachother for today at some point this week" Alissa says. "I've gotta go now y/n so good night girll!" she says ended the call. well at least I got my answer. I go on to call João but it's like he won't answer, I don't know whether he's sleeping or is just declining my phone calls, but whatever it is, all I know is that he isn't answering. I give up and decide to send a message saying "me: hey, can we talk about what happened today at some point because I don't want this to ruin anything." I stare at my phone patiently waiting for a response until I see a response from him saying "João: open the door, I'm outside!" I smiled, thinking that maybe we can actually fix this sooner or later. As I open the door, João hands a pizza box to me and says with a smile"I brought pizza?" "João, you didn't have to you know that right?" I say nicely. "oh I know I just wanted to have pizza with you like we did when we were 10" he smiles and I laugh. I don't know what it is but him smiling is so cute. he was always so cute. his cheeks bright red, his brown like honey eyes. "hey, I'm so sorry about today, I didn't think that you needed to know about me having a date cos I think you wouldn't care and-" I was saying until I was interrupted by João. "hey hey..calm down. I get it, I thought the same thing, so I'm also sorry, let's just forget this because this could really ruin our friendship okay?" he apologizes. "okay" I say with a smile that he returns back at me. We talk about everything we've missed out on, laughing and rolling on the floor of laughter, munching on our pizza that João brought. "Y/n I'm going home now, you need to sleep and so do I, but tonight was really fun!" João says. "oh okay, it was so fun, goodnight João" I say as he walked towards the door. then that's when I remembered about what he called me earlier. "wait João, before you leave, I have to ask you something " I say. "go ahead " he tells me . "why did you call me my love earlier?" I ask curiously. "I did? well maybe it was a friendly gesture. anyways goodnight..my love" he says with a smirk and shuts the door. there it is again. that phrase "my love". what could he possibly mean about this? I have to find out.
