Chapter 22

Y/n's POV:
It's been two months since Chan left for London. I really sometimes just wanna travel to London and surprise him but ugh the work just doesn't give me break. I facetime Chan every chance I get but still I want him here by my side.

It's Sunday today and Chan last texted me three days ago, he hasn't really responded to my calls and texts. I know there's an issue with our timezones being different but atleast he could have said he was busy.

I stare at the blank phone screen hoping it pops up but it doesn't. I sighed and put my phone away. I then took Berry for a walk. These days have been so exhausting because of the work and Chan also has me worried.

I take berry for a walk and when we return, I take a bath and open my laptop to finish some work. A little while later my phone rings, it's Jeongin.

"Hello?" I said when I picked up the phone.
"Y/n what are you doing?"he asked. We often talk to each other and give updates and ask advices and I thought that's what he called for so I started going on with my rant.
"Okay girl, be ready I'm picking you up in an hour. Wear something warm it's going to be cold by the evening." He said.
"Are we shopping today?" I asked.
"Don't ask questions and get ready I'll be there soon." He said and cuts the call.

"Weird" I said and tried to finish my work as soon as possible but then a message pops up from Jeongin that says to wear something which seems a little fancy.

"This guy is acting so suspicious but I don't even have anything to do so i'mma just get ready."

And this I went to my room, changed my clothes, did my hair and makeup and looked in the mirror.

This was what I was wearing:

"Girl you look pretty." I said and called Jeongin. He picked up and said,
"I'm here let's go."
"Coming" I replied.

I opened the door to his car and sat.
"So you told me to dress a little fancy and you're in the most casual outfit?" I asked looking at him.
"This isn't about me and moreover I know you and I know when you dress fancy you go all the way, you're not wearing anything THAT fancy anything?"  He said but sounded like a question.

"I didn't know where we're going so how could I dress fancy, I wanna dress according to the situation and I thought this outfit was just a safer option." I said with a pout.
"You like the outfit?" He asked.
"Obviously, that's the reason I wore it." I said.
"You look pretty in it." He said and started driving.
"You're confusing meeeee" i complained.
Yeah we are not fighting this is how we talk, he's been my best friend since so long and this is the only way I feel right talking to him.

"The ride's gonna be like an hour long so you can sleep." He said.
"No I wanna listen to music." And then I turned the songs on and started singing along. Jeongin would also sing in. He looked happy today, I could see.

"Something nice happened?" I asked him getting curious.
He shook his head in a no.
"Is it about your gf?" I asked.
He shook his head again in a no.
"Don't ask questions we'll be there soon." He said.

After some time Jeongin took the car to a grand hotel.
"We are going to have a meal here? We're meeting someone special?" I asked as he was parking the car.
"You talk too much" he said giving the keys to the valet.
"I know" I said as we walked in the hotel.

Jeongin asked me to wait in the waiting area as he was asking something from the staff. Meanwhile I checked my phone to see if Chan texted or called but nope none of them.

"Here" Jeongin handed me a key.
"Room key?" I was so confused.
"My job was to leave you here safe and sound, I did that, here's the key and go to the room mentioned on it." He said handing me the key which I was very hesitant to take.
"Don't be scared, I'm your best friend, I'll always protect you and you're going to thank me later for this." He added.

"I don't know anyone here and I don't know whom I have to meet, I don't know anything anything Jeongin." I said.
"I'm going to give you a hint, because apparently I'm allowed to give you a small clue if you talk too much. The hint is that there's someone upstairs who's really grumpy." He said giggling.

My eyes teary, is it who I think is it? I was so shocked and happy at the same time.

"Go y/n, trust me" He said point at the elevator.
"Thank you Jeongin." I gave him a tight hug and also I teared up a little.
He hugged me back.
"You deserve all the happiness in the world." He said and then we waved each other bye.

I rushed to the elevator and reached the floor mentioned on the key, I started searching for the room. After a search of solid 5 minutes I finally found the room and opened the room.

The room didn't look like a room, it looked like a huge hall. It was a bit dark so I turned on the lights and soon my eyes ended on the figure of a person whom I can recognise anywhere, even in a crowd.

He was standing in the middle of hall, with flowers in his hand, in a suit, with a huge smile. A real smile. Chan often hides his smiles because that would break his cold image but not today, he had the brightest smile in the town, no world.

This was Chan:

I ran towards him, obviously forgetting the fact I'm wearing heals but somehow I ran perfectly in heels and didn't even budge. A big deal for a girl who even stumbles in sneakers.

I stood in front of Chan with teary streaming down my eyes.
"Chan" and another cry.
"You" and another cry.
"Came" and another cry.
