"Lonzo, can you wake Imani up while I go make breakfast?" I begged as I was brushing my teeth. "Yeah, no problem" he shouted from the other room. I smiled to myself in the mirror and also danced a little. I really fucking hate waking her up like Oh My God she really fucking hard to wake up, especially when she starts crying.

"Thank you thank you thank you" I said leaping on the bed, leaving kisses all over his face. He just laughed sitting up. "Get off me before I change my mind" he said looking directly at me.

The happy expression quickly left my face and I soon ran out of the room racing down the stairs before he could say anymore.

So basically today my family is having the annual reunion and Lonzo insisted to come. My family is not like others, there are the judgmental aunties, the annoying little cousins, the stepmoms and lastly the gang bangers. Oh and let me not forget my dad is one of the worst he is so petty to the y, one time my cousin called him a bastard for fighting with her husband and the next reunion he didn't talk to them once but gave them bitchy stares and making rude comments.

I'm honestly just begging that Aunt Linda fell down the stairs and broke her neck so we don't have to talk to her cause she will try to get in Lonzo's pants.

As I was plating all the food I heard a loud thud followed by screaming and crying. "Imani I told you not to jump of the bed" I heard Lonzo shout. "Fuck you" she screamed at him. My jaw dropped to the fucking floor. The whole house went silent and the only thing you could hear was the sizzling sausages. I'm surprised Zo didn't say anything normally he would have done something but I guess not today.

I soon heard loud footsteps rushing down the stairs. "She's all yours" Zo said situating himself in a chair. "That wasn't the plan" I whined. "Well it is now" he shrugged. I walked upstairs going to her room. "Mom- ah ah save it" I said immediately cutting her off. This girl was in a state. Her hair was messy, she had crusty eyes and shit it literally looked like she got hit by a bus.

"Why would you say that to your dad?" I asked genuinely confused. "I was mad at him". "And who told you to cuss when you're mad?"  

"Uncle Melo" she said innocently. Of course, he fucking did. "Don't do it again okay, and apologise to daddy" I said picking her up from the floor and taking her to the bathroom. I cleaned her face and brushed her teeth. I grabbed her hand walking downstairs. "Damn nigga you couldn't even wait for us" I said looking at zo's empty plate. "My bad the food was calling me" he said taking a sip from the orange juice. 

I let go of Imani's had going to make her a plate. "Daddy I'm sorry for cussing at you" I heard from behind me. "Baby it's okay but don't do it again, okay?" he said putting her on his lap. "Okay" she said snuggling into his chest. Awww they're so cute.

"Baby are you sure you wanna go? there's still time to back out" I asked for like the 100th time. "Yes baby I do, I've only met your immediate family and you've met everyone in mine" he said again. "Ik but like my family is a lot" I said putting my earrings on. "Baby I know not every family is perfect" he said getting fed up. "Okay okay don't say I didn't warn you" I said raising my eyebrows.

I left the closet going into the master bedroom. "Mani are you ready?" I said taking my phone out her hand. "Yeah, let's go" she said running out the room. I let out a loud sigh. Truth be told I'm so scared to face them, and the thing is that some of them don't even know about Imani or even Lonzo. I grab my purse from the bed going back into the closet. "Zo let's go" I straight-faced him. "Veah, you're doing too much" he said pulling me close to him. "No, I'm not" I slightly hit him in the chest. "It's gonna be okay, aight?" he reassured. I nodded my head walking away soon getting pulled back. This nigga got me fucked up yanking my arm like that. "Give me a kiss" he said poking his lips out. "No" I laughed walking away again. "V, stop playing" he pulled me back again. I kissed him on the cheek mean mugging him afterwards. I ran away this time racing down the stairs. I stopped in front of the living room when I got a notification.

I put my phone back in my purse turning around. I looked up for a second and Zo comes running tackling me to the couch. Fuck  he got me this time but not next. He gets off of me after a while and I sit up correctly. In literally the space of seconds he pulls me onto his lap wrapping his hand around my neck. He pulls my face down closer to his.  I kid you not I turned my face away so fast. This man still makes my face heat up after all these years. "Give me a proper kiss" he said popping his lips out again. I swr he seems so chill in person but behind closed doors, this nigga is a baby and needs attention. I passionately kissed his lips, snaking my hand around his neck. He slid his hands up my back pulling me closer. 

"Eww, get a room" I heard from the side of me. I pulled away looking at Imani who was stank facing me and Zo. "Can we go now?" she said pulling me off of Zo. "Yeah, yeah let's go" I grabbed the keys throwing them at Zo.

I texted my mom once we got there. So basically it was at this centre thing that people often rent out for gatherings and things of that nature. It was quite big I won't lie. I soon heard screaming coming closer to the car. "Ahhh my baby" my mom screamed opening the door in the back. I watched as she showered mani with kisses. "You two come here" she said to me and zo. We got out of the car going to where she is. "Mwah mwah ahh I'm so excited to see yall" she said kissing both of us on the cheek. "and thank you for saving me from there, it's literally a shit show" she said covering her mouth. 

"Mom don't cuss" I pointed at mani. "Ooop my bad but lets go" she said walking away. I grabbed mani out the car seat/booster while zo locked the car. I held onto his had as we followed my mom. "I hope you're ready" I said to zo. "It can't be that bad, right?" he questioned.

So basically I didn't really want to have to make another part but I am since I'm tired and 1000 words are enough.
