"Mom do you know if aunt Linda is here" I asked turning to her as we made it up the escalator. "No, she's not, thank the lord above" she said kissing her finger and then putting them up. Praise the LAWDD. "Oh sh- I mean there they are" I plastered a smile on my face. "Neveahhh" my little cousin said running up to me. "Maddy" I smiled picking her up. "You've grown so much" I said putting her back down. Maddy is one of the very few people I fucks with. "Who's that" she said smiling a bit too wide at Lonzo. This is aunt Linda's daughter so I'm not even surprised. "This is Lonzo and my daughter Imani" I said pointing at Lonzo who as also holding Imani. "Daughter?" she said tilting her head. "Now how did that happen?" Maddy's twin sister said raising her left eyebrow. "No need to get in grown folk's business lil girl" My mom said moving past them.

"Girl you were making a big deal they seem fine" Zo laughed. "Babe you only met two calm the f down" I said putting my hand up. "Y'all who the fuck that black white boy?" someone said making everyone's attention fall on us. "Shit, that's Lonzo Ball" some else said. "Babe I'm telling you we should really go now" I whispered as we approached the family. He didn't say anything but grabbed my hand and walk closer up.

So basically it's been about an hour and I've greeting most of the family, me and Lonzo ended up splitting up because we agreed that if we talked to everyone even if it wasn't together then the mission was accomplished.

I was currently looking for Imani since her lil ass ran off somewhere. She too small to be in big crowds like this. I pushed my way through a crowd of people and stopped when I saw my dad having a convo with his brother with Imani sitting on his lap. Oh lord give me strength

I walked up to them taking a seat. "Ahh my baby girl" he said darting his eyes to me. "Hi daddy, how have you been" I smiled. "I've been good you know but it been hard ever since my daughter avoided me for like what 4 years" he said giving me a side eye. " You know I've been busy" I replied. "But you had the time to have a child?" he raised his eyebrow.

"So who the daddy" my dad brother said. "Uh L-Lonzo Ball" I said look long around. "An athlete??" He slammed his hand on the table. Imani jumped up from his lap and ran into my arms. "Mommy, he scaring me" she whispered not very discreetly. "Me too" I whispered back. "This my cue to leave" my unc said getting up. "Neveah, what did I tell you about these damn athletes" he straight faced me.

"It was like an accident" I said quietly. "So this was a one night stand" he shouted. Oh my days this man gets on my nerves sometimes. Like what are you yelling my business for? I looked around and saw almost everyone's eyes on us. I put my head down in embarrassment. "Give them their face back, damn" G-ma told everyone off. They all went back to their business except from G-ma who came to see what's up. "Everything alright baby?" She asked looking at the both of us. "Yeah everything is under control, just having a talk with my daughter" dad says. "Alright now and stop with all that yelling" she says walking away. "This is why is why I avoided you for all them years" I said getting up with Imani on my hip. "What did I do" he said confused. "Your always the problem of this family, you drove mom away, you drove me away and soon your gonna drive us all away and you will be the only one left" I said teary eyed. "You don't mean that" he said walking behind me. "Yes I do" I said speeding up and losing him in the crowd.

I was sitting in the car staring out the window. Imani was in the back watching some video on my phone. This was the very reason I didn't wanna come here, my dad just didn't know how to act. That nigga would embarrass you in front of the whole damn country just to get his point across. I glanced at the rear view mirror and saw some smudged mascara and my under eye was creasing bad.

I heard a knock on the window breaking me from my trance. I looked up seeing a worried Lonzo. He went around the car sitting in the drivers seat. "What happened, I looked for you everywhere" he looking at the back checking on Imani. "I just can't stay in there" I said letting more tears fall. "Do you wanna talk about it?" He said putting a hand on my thigh. "I'll tell you later can we just go now" I said finally looking away from the window and at him. He nodded his head starting the car. And with that we left
