Chapter 18

Derek's POV

After having lunch with her she told me she's going in the library and i went to my study to investigate about the person who was abusing her and according to mark that guy is one of her ex-boyfriend from India. I am stalking every guy who was close to her back there and will found him and rip him to shreds.

I heard her footsteps coming to me as i saw her i kept my laptop aside and she looks like she's here for something to ask me but didn't say a single word so i broke the silence, "what happened sunshine, why suddenly you came to my study? I thought you were in the library." She looked at me and it seems like she was afraid of me for something but i smiled at her to reassuring her for whatever she needs she could just ask me and after a long minute she finally opened her mouth to say something, "it's just i haven't been out since days and i really use some fresh air, so if you don't mind can i please go out for sometime." I felt so guilty for keeping her locked in a house, i decided to give her what she wants "whatever you need sweet" i said as i pull her close to me and I felt so relief for seeing her smile when I told her we are going for shopping.

As we entered the mall she was excited to try something new and I felt so much joy seeing her happy. I saw her buying stuffs and she looked so adorable that I could just take her to one of the trial room and make her scream my name until everybody here knows that who she belongs to. As we done for the shopping she told me to wait for her til she come back for the restroom. I waited so long but she didn't come back so i went inside if she's okay and to my surprise she was not there. I exit the mall and saw a guy with a ski mask on dragging her to his car and she was trying to free her off but he banged her head to the car door and she went unconscious, i felt rage and quickly went to where she was and freed herself from his cold grasp and my men were taking care of that asshole.

I laid her on the bed and waiting for her to wake up. As she opened her eyes slowly and winced for the headache, i served her some fruits and with meds "I see.. you're already up. Here have something to eat and after that you need to take those pills for your headache." she took the plate from me and seated on her lap and said "i want to ask you that...what happened when i was unconscious?" i don't want her to think how ruthless i am and by how i am going to handle this situation, so i just reassured her by saying "you needn't worry about that, everything's in my control. You just take care of yourself and tell me if you need anything, okay?" she nodded and started chewing her meal and i left her room to call mark about the situation that needs to be handle before he tried to do something worse.
