Opal went to the bodega the next day and got a big bag of churros. She also picked up 5 pops and some candy for them all. She placed them in her room and hung out while she waited for them to come. It was nearly 10:00 pm when she heard a knock on her window. She looked over from where she sat at her desk to see Donnie standing at the fire escape with an awkward wave. She smiled and sprung up from her chair before opening the window for him.

"Hi!" Opal said happily, letting him in.

"Hello, I'm afraid it is just me. The others got grounded... It's a long story," He finished when he met her curious gaze.

"That's okay, more churros for us!" She said, directing his gaze to the snacks laid out on her bed. The two sat down together on opposite sides of her bed.

'This is awkward...' They both thought.

After a couple of minutes of awkward small talk, they decided to take the food to the living room and play video games. Donnie was surprised to see a competitive side of Opal seeing as she was so shy before. They screamed at each other with mouths full of junk food as they played the purple game.

Opal was surprised at how much fun she was having, usually in a one-on-one situation like this she would be more nervous due to her social anxiety. But weirdly enough she felt comfortable with Donnie. A while into the game they settled on playing something less stressful and began playing Minecraft together. Later they heard a knock on the door and Opal stood up.

"That's the pizza, be right back." She said before running to the door. She opened it and paid the pizza boy, tipping him with a churro before taking the pizza and wishing him a good night. She walked back to the living room and placed it on the coffee table which was littered with candy wrappers. Donnie puts down his controller and the two begin eating the margarita pizza.

They had run out of pop a bit ago even though Opal had bought 5 so she got up and walked to the fridge to get something. She opened the fridge to see that they only had alcohol, different liquors, and wines filled the drink rack. Dominic was a bartender, so this was very common. Dominic didn't mind her drinking because she hardly ever drank more than a glass at a time. She would have gotten water but tap water in New York is risky. She picked up an open bottle of wine and two wine glasses and went back to the sofa. Donnie raised his eyebrows when she poured them both a glass.

"You drink?" He asked, watching her take a sip from her glass.

"Yeah, I can get some water if you don't mind tap?" Opal said nervously.

"No, it's fine, I was just surprised at all..." He said before taking his glass as well. They decide to pause the game and watch Jupiter Jim while they eat. They hadn't been paying attention to the time when they heard the door creek open. They both flinch when it slams shut.

"Opal! I'm home!" Dominic yells from the door. The both of them sprint to Opal's room before he can see Donnie. She quietly closes the door behind her and turns to him.

"I guess I should get going, huh?" He says rubbing the back of his neck.

"I guess so..." She said with a sorry smile. If she had watched the time more closely, they could have finished the movie. "It was nice hanging out with you Donnie," she said before grabbing the churro bag with three extra lefts in it. "Give these to your brothers for me," she says and hands them to him.

"Ok thanks, before I go... could I get your number maybe...?" He asked nervously, darting his eyes around the room.

"Yeah of course," She smiled before they swapped phones. Donnie was about to say something else before they heard footsteps approaching her door.

Opal quickly opens the window for him, and they say a quick goodbye before Donnie exits her window using his jet pack. Opal just stands there watching him leave for a moment. She didn't know why but she was very sad to see him go. The door opens as she is closing her window causing her to flinch and accidentally slam it shut.

"Hey Opal, Is someone here?" Dominic asked, walking into her room and glancing out the window as if he were checking the fire escape. He figured so much because of the two plates, two wine glasses, and two controllers he found in the living room. Opal knew she was caught.

"Yeah, I had a friend over earlier, but they left a while ago..." She said nervously, twirling her hair.

"Hmm..." He hums while eyeing her suspiciously. "Where'd you meet this friend? I haven't heard anything about them," Dominic asks.

"I met him and his brothers at Central Park the other day," She answered, moving to pick up the junk food wrappers off her bed.

"Him?" Dominic specifies making Opal's eyes widen but she just nodded. "What's his name? How old is he?" He further questions letting his protective older brother-side show.

"Donatello, he's sixteen" Opal answers while walking out into the living room to continue cleaning followed by her brother.

"Donatello? That's a strange name," Dominic said.

"Donnie for short. His brothers are named Raphel, Leonardo, and Michaelangelo so I think there's a theme," Opal said before downing the remaining wine in both glasses making Dominic hum again.

"Ok... Well, it's nice to know you've been socializing, even if it is behind my back." He ends somewhat bitterly. Opal just nods and sits back down on the sofa grabbing her plate of pizza. The two of them finish the movie and the pizza together before parting for bed. Opal regretted not planning to meet Donnie and the others again the next night. She enjoyed spending time with him far more than she thought she would and found herself missing him.

Donnie walks into the lair and walks straight to the skate ramps to see his brothers sitting on their boards looking depressed.

"I have returned bearing gifts," he calls as he enters the room causing the others to spring up and run to him; they each take a churro and happily stuff their mouths.

"Donnie, how was hanging with Opal alone?" Leo asked, wiggling his eyebrows obnoxiously. Donnie on the other hand did not pick up what he was implying and answered simply.

"Good," he says, walking to take a seat on a bean bag.

"What'd you do?" Raph asked while they all sat around him.

"We played video games and ate a bunch of junk food... and then we ate pizza and watched Jupiter Jim. I had to leave before it ended though because her older brother got home earlier than expected." He said, nonchalantly pulling out a bag of chips he put in his shell before he left.

"That sounds like fun. I wish I could have come!" Mikey said sadly.

"Note to you, next time don't break Papa's favorite mug," Donnie said plainly, making them all roll their eyes.
