When he was conscious again, the first thing he realize was that his head hurt a lot and the second that someone was cuddling him as he rested over his chest, because, yes it was definitely a man the one holding him and precisely that was what make him open his eyes.

He was in pain, so suddenly moving away from the hold was not an option, because as soon as he open his eyes to stare at Hei Xiazi, his head flared in more pain and he winced, before he close his eyes again.

"Don't force yourself, the pain will not last for long." Xiao Hua hear Xiazi said and a warm sensation that seems to come from over his neck, make him relax over Xiazi's chest and the pain started to fade.

"So you are truly a half Qilin..." He whisper.

"You got all my memories now, you know everything there is to know, without the need of explanations or proof for you to believe me." Xiazi told him, which make him sigh.

"Why me?"

"You should know the answer to that."

"I got your memories, but not the feelings behind."

"I like you."

"That's it? You just like me and then you choose me to be your partner? That's ridiculous, there are millions of people out there, some way better than me and I know you have been around for a very long time."

"Well, it's more than just a like... I feel you are the one, I feel the pull from the very moment I got you in sight, my blood yearns to protect you, my heart is no better than that, because it wants you as hard. We are not fully human, so our perception of the world is different and our senses are sharper in all possible ways... we know who is the one for us by instinct and that come only once."
