It was night, and even the grass was hard to see in the dark of the night, and Hiwatari found herself surrounded by trees, but different ones from before. She is now in the first world in Japan.
"Eh? What is this place?" she said quietly, as she looked around and started to stand up, getting used to the new air.
Suddenly, a light flashed at her and it spooked her out. She flinched away and walked backwards from the light.
Steps in the grass could be heard, they were coming closer to Hiwatari, as Hiwatari kept walking back, soon, the footsteps started running at her as she kept walking. Her heart was pounding a bit until the runner was visible, due to the light.
There stood a tall woman with horns. She looks like an Oni from my world, Hiwatari thought.
"Aha! Got one!"
"Got one?"
"Ack! Got one of what?"
"You got exiled from the second world, right?"
"How would you know?
"Cuz I'm one too, Silly!"
"Oh really? Well what are you doing here?"
"Nothing~ Just doing my nightly scouting along the forest to see if any exiles came along."
"Why?"
"Because I would like to invite people to the big ol' house over there. It's filled with other exiles and nonhumans."
"Is that so? Man I was anxious about having to blend in and stuff, at least I don't have to worry about that, how big is the house anyway?"
"Biiig! It's like a... Mason."
She's probably drunk, nothing new for an oni
"Mansion?"
"Yeah! By the way, can I get your name?"
"Sure... Wait! How can you prove you're not a spy or something like that? How could someone like us buy that?"
"Ah! It had to happen eventually! The suspicion! Well the mansion was bought quiiite a long time ago by some, I don't know, but they're important and probably rich!"
"You don't know them? Weird..."
"No! Because you see, there is people there that do know them! They're a damn basement dweller!"
"That isn't helping their case."
"Either way! Look! I'll prove I'm being honest! I'm Kaori Azuma, but you can just call me Kaorin."
"Kaori Azuma..." Hiwatari thought for a second. "Oh you used to be one of the great four of the mountain! Man that unit in school was...pretty boring to be honest."
While she was poor, she did go to school, as it was free; though she did not make a single friend for all almost 9 years.
Kaori tilted her head, and Hiwatari quickly apologized; "Ack! So sorry!"
"Nah, don't worry, It's fine, now can I finally get your name?"
"Yes, it's Hiwatari"
"Heh, Nice name, now wanna go inside?"
"Sure, I suppose."
"Allllrighty~! Just follow me!"
Kaori started running towards where she originally came from, and Hiwatari followed closely behind. It was quite a surprise for her to be so fast due to her new vampiristic abilities. Before she died, she used to be extremely slow.
Eventually, they got to the door of a dark, but big western styled mansion. It admittedly did look suspicious from an outsider's perspective, but the people here must be very strong if they got one of the big four here.
Kaori put her hand on Hiwatari's back and led her to the door. Kaori slowly opened the door after unlocking it with a key and looked at Hiwatari.
"Welcome to your new home."
