I looked down at my dress. It flowed beautifully. It was the perfect length, color, and it made me feel amazing.
My best friend stood next to me with a cup of punch in their hand and a smile. I watched as they talked to their date. They looked so happy, which made me happy for them.
I began to scan the room, the cheesy prom decorations all over. The balloons that stuck to the ground, the streamers that were taped to the entrances, and the 2011 love songs that played in the background. The snack table consisted of fruit punch, cookies, cheese cubes, and various fruits that lay on top of a cheap plastic plate.
I eventually found my eyes stuck on C/n. They were talking to one of their friends. They wore a beautiful black suit, but it was sparkly.
Their hair looked so good. C/n finally found my eyes before smiling warmly and waving me over.
I walked over to them with a grin, their hand immediately finding my waist. C/n went back to talking to their friend as I stared up at their eyes that would occasionally glancing back at me.
Sooner or later, their friend walked away to join a different group, leaving me alone with
C/n.
They looked back down at me before I straightened my back, meeting eye to eye with them. Their eyes flickered from my eyes to my lips before they leaned in, giving me a small but passionate kiss.
I heard my best friend and their date gasp before saying "Awwww."
I glared over at them before putting my eyes back on C/n. They swayed our bodies together as a sweet love song started playing.
"You look great," C/n said, making me blush with a bashful smile.
"So do you," I responded, grabbing their hand and running my fingers over their knuckles.
They placed a sweet kiss on my forehead before I put my head on their chest, closing my eyes and letting myself sink into their presence.
