My heart jumped at the familiar sound of keys in the door. I leaped off the couch, going up to the door. C/n stepped inside, letting the cold air rush past me. They looked so cute bundled up in warm clothes.

I engulfed them in a hug, feeling the cold on their jacket but warmth from their hands as they grazed across my back. They ran their fingers through my hair a couple times before placing a kiss on my forehead.

"Happy Valentines day," C/n looked at me with bright eyes. I looked down, finally noticing all the bags they had in their hands.

"I love you," I whispered before kissing them sweetly.

I took the bags into the kitchen while they went to our bedroom to undress. They came back in pajama pants and a plain t shirt.

They came up behind me, wrapping their hands around my waist as I looked through the bags of Valentines gifts.

I pulled out a few stuffed animals, candy, and a valentines card before C/n snatched it out of my hand and ran away.

"What?" I trailed off, watching as they disappeared into our room.

They soon came back with a pen, leaned on the countertop, and began writing. A couple minutes later, they looked back at me with a smile, handing me the card.

I looked down at it, seeing their adorable handwriting with many hearts drawn around the words.

I love you
I love you beyond words
I'm so happy with you
I know you love valentine's day so I tried to make it special <3

I looked back up at C/n as they soon came back to resume their spot behind me, arms draped across my waist.

I kissed them sweetly, tangling my fingers in their hair. They pulled back, giving me a quick peck on my cheek before pointing back to the bags.

I went back to the bags, noticing that there was still a few things left. I pulled out a perfume, a few rings, and frozen cookies. They smiled at me as they tapped on the frozen cookie box.

"Let's make them," they spoke with excitement in their voice. C/n loved baking. It was so sweet.

I washed my hands as I watched C/n dance to our shared playlist in the living room.

"Come help me," I laughed as they ran over, their apron on and everything.

I placed a pan on the countertop as C/n began to open the box. The cookies were doughy and it took everything in me to not eat them without cooking them.

Me and C/n placed the cookies one by one onto the pan, soon setting them into the oven. I hopped up on the counter as C/n set the timer on their phone.

"I wish we were baking from scratch," C/n sighed, taking off their apron.

"Why?" I asked, tilting my head in confusion.

"Because I would be able to wipe flour on you," C/n said with a large grin.

I smiled at them, then an idea popped into my head. I jumped off the counter, reaching into the cabinet and pulling out a bag of flour, diving my hand in it, then wiping some of it on C/n's black shirt. They looked up at me with their mouth agape, immediately plunging into me.

Soon, their was flour everywhere. Our hair, our clothes, the floor, the countertop. We sat on the floor, legs intertwined, the flour bag sitting next to my head. Me and C/n looked at each other with smiles that said "Uh oh" without actually saying it.

"Now we have to clean," I sighed, collapsing onto the floor.

"But then we'll get cookies as a reward," C/n pointed out.

Cleaning all the floor was actually very easy. then we took a quick shower to get all of the flour out of our hair. Just as we were coming out of the bathroom, C/n's alarm started going off. We looked at each other with grins before running into the kitchen to get the cookies.

Now we sit on the couch, cuddled up, wet hair dripping on our shoulders, eating cookies, and watching my favorite movie.
