Elizabeth's POV;
Sirius screwed his eyes shut tightly before he ran straight at the firm brick wall, signalling me along with him. I opened my eyes and peered at the marvellous red train in front of me, the shock on my face must of been apparent because my brother started the giggle at me, I would have slapped him but the black owl in its cage hooted loudly, reminding me that it remained in my right hand, accompanied by the trunk being dragged by my left hand. His free hand waved in front of my eyes and I slapped it away.
"Piss off Sirius, before I drop this trunk and hit you."
"That's not a very nice way to talk to your older brother now, is it?"
"Six minutes Sirius, six stupid minutes and you still hold it over my head after 11 years." I mutter under my breath but he still ends up hearing. Him and his stupid super hearing.
"The most peaceful six minutes of my life," I rolled my eyes and he ruffled my hair. "I almost threw up when Mum explained that we lived centimetres apart, if not touching, for nine whole months."
"Don't be dramatic, Sirius."
"But I'm so good at it."
"That might be the only thing we agree on."
We bantered for at least ten minutes before finally settling into a seat in an empty carriage at the very end of the train. The platform and the people on it slowly began to fade into the distance, Sirius and I waved at our younger brother Regulus who will be attending Hogwarts next year. A glare etched onto my face replacing my smile when my mothers black eyes met my own and she started to mouth a word, I squinted my eyes as soon as I realised what word she was saying. Slytherin.
My eyes began to water because of how long I had held them open, staring at my mother before she became nothing but a slither of darkness in the light of the outside world. As my eyes forced themselves shut, the image of the Black family tree worked its way into my mind. The words of my mother, Walburga made their way back into my ears.
-Flashback-
"If you do not get sorted into Slytherin," my mother pointed at her name on the tree," do not think, for a moment that I will not hesitate to burn this name right off this tree." I continued to stare down at my shoes, when she grabbed my face and shoved me at the wall. "Do you hear me girl?" She continued to scream.
My mind began to race. What if we woke up Sirius or Reggie? I knew I had to reply, and fast.
"Yes mother."
-Over-
My eyes opened to the sound of the door to their compartment being opened, I peered up at the door to see two boys sheepishly standing at the door. Both of the boys were wearing high top converse, one pair a bright red the other a darkish brown. I peered up at the boy wearing the brown converse, he was tall, had light brown hair, scars running all across his face, and the most beautiful hazel eyes. I realized that I was probably creeping him out by how much staring I was doing. I awkwardly looked away.
"Um....Can we maybe sit in here? Everywhere else is full." I nodded and the boys slowly sat down across from us. Red shoe boy held his hand out for Sirius to shake, "I'm James, James Potter, and this is Remus Lupin, we're first years." Sirius shook his hand and began to introduce himself.
"Sirius, Black, and this is my twin-"
"I think I can introduce myself thanks," I shot a harsh look at my brother and he shot one right back. "I'm Lizzie Black, we're first years too." I shook James hand briefly before turning to Remus and shaking his. "He's a prick", I whispered quietly into his ear, pointing to Sirius. He chuckled before turning back to the rest of the group.
