At 6 o'clock mum called us down for dinner. When we all got there we saw the dinner. It was Spaghetti and garlic bread. We all grabbed a plate and sat on the couch. Amber chose a rom-com. Of course.

"Why a rom-com Ams, you know I can't stand them." Jason said groaning. "Man shut up yours and Ashers relationship is a fucking rom-com" Amber said. "Amber, honey, language." My mum said in a warning voice.

"Sorry Harper." She apologized. "What?! No we're not!- are we?" He asked Asher. Asher just shrugged and said "I dunno. I mean if Amber says it is than it is." Jason gasped at their response. "Can we watch the movie now?" I asked getting bored.

"Yes!!" Amber screamed pressing play. We were about halfway through the movie when my phone vibrated. I looked and it was a text from my teacher Mr. Burt. It said

'Dear (y/n). I am disappointed by your grades this year. You use to be a straight A student but now you're only in 95-89%. I would like to see you in my office Monday after school. Alone. I need you to explain why you're failing these classes.

Alone?? What? Fuckin' creep. I show Amber the text. "Whatthe fuck? He's a creep because what kind of teacher wants to see their student alone after school??" She asked. Asher paused the movie and looked at us causing Jason to look.

"What happened?" He asked. I showed them the text. "Oh hell no! Nope! That fucking creepy ass bitch of a pedophile can kiss my dead dad's ass." Asher said making all of us look at him in shock. He never curses or calls people a pedophile.

"Bro calm down. I'm not even gonna be here by then." I said causing Jason to hug me. "Nooooo don't leave me bestie! I need you here!" He said letting go.

-Time skip to around midnight-

I was the only one left up. I slowly got up and went to the stairs. I walked up the stairs slowly and to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and looked at myself. Holy shit. I look like absolute shit. I thought. I ran a hand through my hair.

I grabbed the mirror and opened it. I looked for my bottle. Once I found it I fumbled trying to open it. Once I did I took three pills out and swallowed them. I turned on the faucet and cupped my hands and waited for water to fill them. I drank the water that was in my hands and gasped.

I hated those voices. They taunt me. Tell me things. Yell at me. I hate them so much. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 16 and I hate it.

There was a knock at the bathroom door. I opened it to see my dad. "Hey kiddo whats up?" He asked Leaning on the door frame. "Nothing just using the bathroom." I lied. "The voices happening again?" He asked. I nodded and he sighed. He opened the door more and put his hands on my shoulders.

"Kiddo, have you been taking your pills like you're supposed to?" He asked rubbing his thumbs into my shoulders. "Mhm.. just they're coming back stronger and I did the thing you told me to. I took one more." I said looking down at my feet.

"Good kiddo. Now go to your friends and let me piss" He said lightly shoving me out and closing the door. "Night dad" I said before walking down and laying on the couch. Going to sleep finally.

-time skip to the morning-

I woke up to yelling. "JASON GIVE ME THE REMOTE YOU FUCKER!!" I heard Amber yell. "SHUT UP PLEASE AND LEMME SLEEP!" I yelled and they both apologized.

-time skip to an hour later.-

I woke up to see Asher and Jason missing. "Hey where's the rom-com couple?" I asked Amber who was watching Bluey. "Ashers mum came by to pick them up because she had a meeting and she needed Asher to babysit their sister" she said not taking her eyes off the show.

"What time is it?" I asked once more. "12." She said. "Wow.." I get up and walk to the stairs and walk up. I got to my room and see most of my stuff packed. "MOM?! WHY IS MY STUFF PACKED?!" I asked/yelled. "I packed it last night and this morning because you had friends over. Don't worry I left some clothes out for the day and tomorrow." She said walking out of the bathroom.

"Ok thank you" I said grabbing what she left. Which was a blood red band t-shirt and black jeans. I went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth. There was knocking on the door and I opened it to see Amber. "Hey bestie. My step dad came to pick me up so I have to go. Pray for me" she said hugging me.

"Bye Ams, man fuck him he's an ass." I said hugging her back. She waved by and left down the stairs. I heard the door open and slam close. I finished brushing my teeth.

I grabbed my bottle again and grabbed one pill and swallowed. I walked out to see mum leaving for work. "Hey sweety! I have to go before we move to say bye to everyone. I'm sorry but when I get back we'll go get ice cream. Dad left to take Lucas to his play date so you're alone for a few hours." She said hugging me.

I hugged back. I hated that nickname. 'Sweety' the fucking voice in my head calls me that. We said our goodbyes and she left. I went to my room and fell on my bed. I close my eyes for what feels like a second. The moment I open my eyes it's dark. What the- I think until I hear my door open.

Dad walks in with Lucas. "Oh hey kiddo. I didn't know you were awake. You were asleep when I cane home so I just let you be." He said in a low voice. "When did you come home? What time is it?" I asked looking for my phone.

"I came home at like 2:30-ish? It's now 7:28. Mum is not home yet. They kept her for a bit longer. She'll be back at 8." He says as he puts Lucas down. I finally found my phone and saw texts. A shit ton of texts.
