Y/N, Wednesday, Harry, and the Weasley's were heading to King's Cross.
"Okay Ginny, you go through first." Molly said as Ginny ran at the wall, going through it without much of an issue. "Fred, George, you next."
Fred and George ran through the wall without much of an issue.
"Okay, Y/N, Wednesday you next." Molly said as Y/N and Wednesday charged towards the wall and ran through it with little issue, the two of them joining the rest of the group at the loading area where their luggage would be taken.
After a few minutes, Molly and Arthur arrived.
When their luggage was loaded up, Y/N and Wednesday found a cabin with Hermione, the three of them sitting in it until Enola joined them, still buzzing with excitement.
"Oh, I can't wait to study magic. I hope I'm in Gryffindor!" Enola said as she smiled at Y/N and Hermione.
"So, Wednesday, your book is amazing." Hermione said as Addams smiled.
"Thanks." Wednesday said with a smile as Y/N was reading one of Lockharts books.
"Oh! That one's my favourite out of this years books." Hermione said as Y/N looked at her. "I've read them all already. That's the best though, the story of when he spent a year living with a yeti."
"Or Alternatively, the greatest work of fiction since vows of fidelity were included in the French marriage service." Y/N remarked dryly as he looked at some of the things he read.
"Oh come now, you can't claim that its fake."
"I'm not claiming anything at all yet, I just think that it's a waste us buying these when we already have some proper toilet paper in the bathrooms." Y/N remarked as Hermione's brow furrowed.
"I believe him."
"Hermione, did you take an idiot potion over the holidays or something? in his book on werewolves he claimed to reverse the transformation whilst wrestling the werewolf with one hand and pinning him to the floor. Hagrid is eight foot six with arms the size of Bournemouth and he'd struggle with wrestling a werewolf using two hands, anyone who thinks about it would easily tell you that wrestling a werewolf with one hand sounds like the most fantastical load of drivel ever put to paper, and in the wizarding and muggle world that says something. What's more, look at the man, when it all kicked off with me and Lucius, Lockhart was out of there into the back room faster than a whippet with a bum full of dynamite." Y/N said coldly as Hermione looked hurt.
"Well I believe him, he's a great wizard!" Hermione snapped as Y/N rolled his eyes.
"Okay, believe what you want about him, what do I care that my friend won't learn anything useful in Defence Against the Dark Arts." Y/N said as he opened the window and threw his copy of a year with a yeti. "I think I'll rely on the library full of books with facts in them rather than irrelevant twoddl- Harry?!"
Everyone in the cabin crowded around the window.
"What are you two up to?!"
"The gateway to the platform closed early on us!" Harry cried out as he climbed into the blue flying car. "We'll see you at Hogwarts if we make it!"
"We have to help them!" Hermione exclaimed.
"How do you suggest we do that?"
Hermione was silent.
"They'll have to make their own way there." Y/N said coldly as he sat down and pulled out the Standard Book of Spells, Grade 2.
The whole train ride was filled with the light conversation while Enola and Hermione read A Year With the Yeti by Gilderoy Lockhart.
Wednesday sat next to Y/N as they read through the Standard Book of Spells: Grade 2.
As they sat there reading and occasionally passing the odd conversation, Y/N sighed. Hermione had been kind to him since day one, she was the closest he had to a friend in the usual context of the word. And he knew from Enola's glare she wasn't happy with Y/N insulting Hermione either.
"I'm...sorry." Y/N said as Hermione looked up at him in shock, even Enola was shocked by the words. "You're not an idiot Hermione."
Hermione and Enola were shocked to silence as Y/N went back to reading.
"It's okay." Hermione said with a fluster as she noticed Enola's hand brush hers as she went to turn the page.
When they arrived at Hogwarts Y/N was sat next to Hermione while Wednesday was sat on the Ravenclaw table.
"Enola Holmes!" McGonagall called out from the list, Enola stepped forward and sat on the stool as the Sorting hat was placed onto her head.
"HA! Another Holmes eh?! Let's see, very smart like a Ravenclaw, a big kind heart like a Hufflepuff, you have...yes, the mind of a true Holmes, better be...RAVENCLAW!" The hat announced as Enola looked worried until she noticed that Wednesday was in Ravenclaw. she walked over and sat next to Wednesday who welcomed her while nodding to Y/N in silent agreement that she would take care of Enola.
Y/N looked at Enola and smiled reassuringly at her.
"She'll be okay, she's got Wednesday and Thing looking after her." Hermione said as Y/N nodded.
"I know." Y/N said coldly like it was obvious.
"Y/N, you may fool Ron and Harry that you're a heartless bastard and believe me sometime I think it's true, but in the end, you can't fool me and Wednesday." Hermione said as Y/N looked at her. "Enola is proof of that. Without you looking out for her, she wouldn't be who she is today."
"Don't." Y/N said sternly.
Hermione nodded as the feast began, Y/N made himself a small meal and was eating it as he tried to think. He was in the middle of his meal when a note flew over to him from the teachers table, Y/N opened it up and saw it was Professor Dumbledore's handwriting and in his usual ink.
Y/N looked up to the teachers table and saw Dumbledore nod to him, he returned the gesture in kind as he put the note in his pocket and carried on eating his meal, by now he'd figured out that Harry and Ron had been caught and were likely either getting expelled or detention, with Harry's fame possibly being the only thing keeping them from being expelled...
