Who Fell First? (YEAR 2) [Male Reader x Wednesday Addams]

"I'll take the case."

Y/N was sitting in the Gryffindor common room with a book in his hands as he heard Wednesday typing her next novel. They were both interrupted when a tap came at the window, Y/N flourished his wand and opened the window for Greg the owl to come in.

"Morning Giles." Y/N said as he took the letter from Dumbledore asking for him and Wednesday to head up to his office immediately. "Wednesday, Dumbledore wants you and me in his office."

She packed her typewriter up into her case and they left, with Y/N having already figured out the reasoning for their summon.

They knocked on the office door and walked in, Dumbledore looked up at them both.

"Ah, Mr Holmes, Miss Addams, sorry to interrupt your free period-"

"I'll take the case." Y/N said as Dumbledore looked shocked. "You called me and Wednesday up to your office the morning after a mysterious attack, it's not that large of a leap to the conclusion that you wanted me to investigate."

"Mere coincidence, Mr Holmes. Mrs Malfoy, would you like to talk to him?" Y/N turned and saw Narcissa Black Malfoy walking towards him.

"Ah, Lady Malfoy. How are you?" Y/N asked as he saw a dangerous smile on her face.

"I'm well. thank you."

"Glad to hear it." Y/N said politely.

"I hear you attacked my son? And that you humiliated my husband." Narcissa said as Y/N looked at her.

"Yes, I admit to that. However I had a good reason." Y/N stated as Narcissa smiled.

"Please, explain your reasons."

"Your Husband insulted my friends, Lucius insulted My friend Miss Addams and her family. Your son used a racial slur aimed at Miss Granger. All in all I would say I was rather gentle on them considering their offences, wouldn't you?" Y/N said as he looked at her.

"Yes. Very well. I shall persuade my husband to not press charges-"

"You needn't bother with that, he won't press charges, because I know something about him that is much worse than a scuffle in a shop. Your son, well he won't pipe up for at least six months." Y/N said as he smiled. "As I understand it, you are my aunt on my mothers side, her sister aren't you? That makes Draco my cousin. You know how cousins can fight don't you Cissa? I'm certain you can clear this up. Right now I'm interested in the case."

"I don't want you to investigate this case Mr Holmes. Do I make myself clear?" Dumbledore said as Y/N looked to Wednesday.

"So with respect sir, why did you ask for Wednesday to accompany me?"

"So that she too got the message, you are to leave this case alone." Dumbledore said as Y/N sighed.

"Very well. Professor Dumbledore. Lady Malfoy." Y/N said coldly as he left, Wednesday followed him.

The door closed after Wednesday and Y/N left, Narcissa turned to look at Dumbledore.

"You understand he will investigate regardless?" Narcissa said as Dumbledore nodded. 

"He takes too much after his parents" Dumbledore stated as Narcissa smiled.

"Agreed, but in the current climate, that may be just what you need. Keep me updated on my nephew." Narcissa said as Dumbledore nodded with Narcissa leaving calmly.

Y/N and Wednesday walked back to the common room as they looked at one another.

"We're still going to look into it aren't we?" She asked as Y/N smiled.

"Yes, of course." Y/N said as he smirked. "For now though, let's see if we can get some information from Professor McGonagall in her lesson."

The pair walked along the corridor, heading off towards the transfiguration classroom...
