Yugi: English Tutor

You almost laughed when you found out. The great "King of Games" needed extra English lessons, so the teacher enlisted you, who spoke the language fluently. It was funny you knew how to do something Yugi Motou couldn't.

Anyway, you are meeting him today at the library. You're sitting at a desk, laptop and backpack in front of you, reading your favorite manga. Your student walked in.

"Ah, Yugi Motou," You greet, and lean back in your chair. "How you doing?" It's weird, Yugi looks so different on TV, like, taller or something. More mature. Is this really the same guy crushing countless opponents up on the stage?

"I'm doing fine. How about you?" He pulls up a chair.

"Eh, just average." He looks at you curiously. "Well then, I'm supposed to be teaching ya'll something, let's get started."

"Um..."

You realize you had spoken English. You smirk. "No, I'm not showing off, that was by accident. If you want me to show off I totally can."

"I'm good," he replies wobbily. As expected, you are loving this.

"So, what are you learning in English?" You ask after an hour of teaching him how to say "the dog walks and the cat jumps".

"Um... I think we're learning about going shopping."

"Going shopping in English class, sounds fun!"

"It's like ordering food and saying we like things and stuff."

"Fun. After we practice a bit, you want to try out your skills?"

"What?"

"There's a mall twenty miles from here. with waiters and people who only speak English. You feeling ambitious?"

"No, not at all."

"Come on King of Games, just treat this as one of your little hologram duels or something."

"I don't know how to incorporate English in that."

"Well fine then." The next few hours you spend teaching Yugi how to say you like things in English, and how to order a pizza. You didn't know how much that would help him, but whatever.

They kicked you out of the library at nine, so you assumed the mall was closed too. "Shoot," you breathe. "Well, you think you learned things?"

"I'm pretty confident in my skills for the test."

"Well great. I need to get home, so I guess I'll see you around-"

"Wait!" Yugi exclaims and grabs your arm. A blush is visible on his face. "Um, I have this card-" he digs around in his pocket "-in English, and I can't figure out what the ability is. Could you read it for me?"

"Whatever, King." He hands you a monster card that looks like a brown puffball with eyes and angel wings. "Winged Kuriboh. The turn this card is destroyed in battle, the controller takes no damage. And-" Something is written on the bottom, it looks like Yugi's handwriting. "It says 'I like you'."

The small boy scratches his head. "So... you know how I feel, y/n. Do you feel the same?"

You laugh honestly. "Whatever, King," You respond, and hug your student.

Ok! the long-awaited Yugi x reader! sorry it took so long, I have final exams and have been up to my eyebrows in review homework.

I'm too tired to go back and look for who requested Yugi, you know who you are.

Anyway, I'm going to try adding pictures to the stories, along with a Question of the Day. So today's question is: What is your favorite Yugioh series?

Mine is either DM or Zexal, simply because they were the first ones I got into.
