Day #1: Power Outage

Let me set the scene, Milo and Oz met at summer camp and developed crushes on each other, but were both too chicken to ask the other out. Now, in order to stay around each other, they both went to the same university and are now sharing a dorm together with a bunch of familiar faces in the same dorm hall.

It felt just like Spooky High, but now everyone was actually facing consequences for their actions, crazy I know. They were still young and in afraid, beyond ready to start this new chapter of their lives, even though it was not nearly as entertaining as their high school years.

Once everyone was finally getting into the groove of their new adult lives, everything went dark.
"What the hell?" Milo asks out loud to their live stream after all the lights, including the cute fairy lights they hung up on their walls with Oz, all went out in less than a second. Their phone was no longer charging either, so it was sitting at a solid 35% with an active, battery-draining, live stream in progress.

Oz was in the corner of the room just outside of view from Milo's live stream, headphones blasting music while he focused on whatever assignment was on his laptop screen. It appeared he didn't even notice the power went out, which Milo rolled their eyes at. The reaper got up from the spot on their bed, which was the bottom bunk of their and Oz's bunk bed, and headed over to Oz.

The reaper tapped the fearling on his shoulder and he immediately turned around in a panic and removed his headphones. Slowly a blush crawled onto his face when he realized how close the reaper was to him.

"W-what's up?" Oz forces out of his mouth before looking around the room. "Why'd you turn the lights out?" Oz asks while trying to adjust his eyes to the dark environment. It was nearly impossible to see anything besides Milo's heart, eyes, and nails; so Oz just settled for eye contact with the reaper.

Milo on the other hand could see everything just fine, because of their light up eyes, they had some sort of night vision. Oz closed his laptop in order to give Milo his full attention because it was very rare for the reaper to interrupt Oz while he was doing work; the last time they did was because the dorms literally caught fire.

"I didn't turn off the lights darli-" right before Milo finished their sentence, there was a loud banging on their dorm door which caught the two off guard and Milo swears Oz jumped a foot into the air. After a second of processing, Oz tried to head to the door, only to almost trip over one of his textbooks. Milo caught the fearling before he fell, which caused them both to blush before heading to the still-banging door.

Milo opened the door with ease and nearly got hit in the face by the angry knocking of a certain poltergeist. The hallway's power was out as well which made it look even more ominous, Milo quickly grabbed their phone off the bed and turned on their flashlight, revealing the several monsters in the hall.

"Oh my gods! Polly, be more careful next time you're trying to break down our door!" Milo shouts at the ghost, who was laughing off their warning.

"I was just trying to gather everyone together boo, the power went out in the entire campus and I figured we should check on everyone." Poly explains, which Oz quickly follows up with, "We?"
