Chishiya exited the room, ignoring the man's pleads he went to his deadlocked friend

"the new kids, they're our sacrifices" He smirks and the girls eyes widen

"any specific reason?"

"we only need one to take the fall, Arisu is halfway clever but still in a daze so it's only be logical to go for him over the other one" Chishiya makes up some lie on the spot

Akira POV

i'd been lounging in my room for ages

Kuina's been busy sharing secrets with Chishiya or chatting with Usagi and Arisu

the executives haven't bothered me in a while and I have no other friends

I don't really wanna get drunk, maybe i should head into the city

walk around and see the stores that aren't raided

I sigh exaggeratedly getting out of the bed, and head to the executive lounge hatter usually lies in

"I'll play another game tonight if I can go into the city now" I say affirmatively

"be my guest" He chuckles not even bothering to look away from the woman on his lap

to this I grab the car keys on his table and rush out the door with a grin

It's been a couple hours since i've been here and i'm currently hiding in what looks to be a granny clothing store

I found a body on the road who was holding 4 cards so i'll just tell Hatter I played those

But as always there always has to be some problem and my current issue I have is the fact there's someone on the streets that's killing everyone then collecting their cards

Im sitting in the granny store nibbling on a chocolate bar when i decide i'll just wait it out, no need to run the risk of being shot at or losing my free shopping

I let out a sigh resting my head on my knees, when are they gonna fuck off?

i'm starting to wonder if they're from the beach as beach citizens who drive past remain unshot or whatever, with that information I should go out and believe me i would if everyone at the beach didn't hate me

I sigh and look at my bags, maybe i can just come back for them

"fuck off!" I yell running away from the figure who was currently reloading his gun, i took this as opportunity to hide in the alley of a building

I quietly try to catch my breath while crouching behind a dumpster

"you look silly" A voice says, I gasp and look up to see Ann

"hurry up Niragi has torn up the beach and we could use some help with the bodies" She nods at me

"you came all the way here cause you need help with bodies?" I ask standing up

"no we also need you at the beach to make sure the baby doesn't have another tantrum" She rolls her eyes heading onto the street, i'm hesitant to follow

"there's a dude shooting people" I exclaim directing her to come back to the alley

"he was sent out by hatter, he won't touch us" She shakes her head clearly unamused

"he was shooting at me before" I mutter lowering my eyebrows

Ann briefly looks taken aback at the statement though reclaims herself in a matter of milliseconds as she makes her way up the street, I follow closely behind

"Kaito" she says in her usual confident voice

"Ann" the voice replies clearly surprised to see her

"Why am i getting word of you hunting Akira?" she raises a brow

"i didn't realise it was her" he looks at his shoes dropping his gun to his side

"did you or did you not hear Niragi's speech the other day? if you missed out I would be happy to inform him someone needs a chat" she looks with a more taunting look now

"that won't be necessary" Kaito says through slightly gritted teeth

"your no longer a militant, hand me your gun and head back to the beach" She holds her hand out as he looks at her in disbelief

"you don't have the right to do that!" he barks with wide eyes

"usually i wouldn't but someone as inattentive and irresponsible as you with a gun doesn't sound right in anyone's books" she states with a more certain tone this time sounding as though she's daring him to argue

"but" he attempts, it doesn't work

"but? Kaito, the walkie talkies have been going off and your pager has been buzzing this entire conversation. I am on the brink of calling Aguni and Last boss to the scene" She scoffs

the man huffs finally handing over his firearm while starting his car, he throws the pager out onto the pavement before zooming off towards the beach

"what speech?" I ask Ann as she turns from the outraged driver

"oh you must've missed it" she says not even bothering to look at me

"what did Niragi need to say?" I press, "if it was important-" she cuts me off

"it wasn't, it doesn't affect you" she starts walking towards her car

"you see Akira in a game? you kill yourself or you kill for her. Her life is priority not yours." Niragi yells out to the crowd

"that's stupid" a voice breaks as gasps sync through the crowd

Niragi turns around with an annoyed smirk

"who said that?" nobody moves, even the executives watching are surprised

"I said who said that?! Who had the fucking nerve?" Niragi yells pointing his gun at the crowds

Niragi chuckles seeing a young girl shaking from fear, "oi, you see who said it? point bitch" He points his gun at her head

"I-I didn't see anything!" She shakes her head

"so your useless? I should just kill you all, get rid of the competition" Niragi laughs a maniac undertone as he pops off his safety

"please leave us, it was that guy over there" The man behind the quivering girl says pointing to the newest executive

"Kane you say?" Niragi grits his teeth halfway amused, everyone else watches in shock

Niragi doesn't put the safety back on, no. He shoots everyone around the man, everyone who stayed silent for the man who defied not only him but Akira

"shoot his legs and carry him to my room, we're gonna go over our lesson today" Niragi grins at the shocked man while ordering the militants

As more shots ring out and Kanes yells drift away he turns to the rest of the beach citizens who watched the scene unfold

"Take this as a warning! Defy me half of what that idiot just did and you'll get a much gorier death"
