Amra's eyes open slowly, adjusting to the light as she scans the forest. When she spots the group of strangers across the meadow from her, her heart squeezes apprehensively and she looks about wildly for Acoris. In looking around, she realises that just beyond the meadow there are forms of all kinds lurking amidst the trees. Someone has surrounded them.
"ACORIS!"
Her friend's eyes find hers in the chaos and he scans her for any sign of pain.
The group of strangers become alarmed by her screaming and they start scoping up their weapons from off the forest floor. The blonde stranger turns and looks around them, understanding Amra's plea and shouting something to his companions.
Acoris is the next to notice their not being alone in the meadow and he directs his bow instead on the forms in the woods. He slits a portion of his hand open and swiftly starts drawing sigils on a nearby tree. Amra recognizes his actions as blood magic and draws her bow, running towards the base of his tree.
One of the Emrys family's more ancient blood spirit familiars pushed their way through the rich Fallburne dirt. It stands a clear two feet over every human figure there and has two twisting antlers on both sides of its head, but it holds the form of the top half of a middle aged man and the legs of a horse.
Acoris knew the blood spirit to be named Orzath. The spirit looked like any other centaur to the outside eye but it bore the ability to manipulate the life forms of the forest, anything from vines to bunnies fell under Orzath's control were the being to want it to.
As soon as Cael noticed the blood demon, his team had started to move towards it with intention to kill. Whilst they did so, Lynet felt a chink in the back of her chestplate and turned her head to inspect it. She found a small steel arrow had found its way in between the shoulder and upper back pieces. She pulled the arrow out and glanced at the direction it had come from. It was then she noticed anywhere from ten to twenty figures in the woods, surrounding them.
Lynet grabbed Cael's arm harshly and pulled him around to look at the forest. The man turned with confusion and looked to where Lynet pointed.
His eyes were then alight with alarm and he shouted to his group.
"Kieran! Enid! Behind us!"
