"You mean it's all fake? I... I was right?" He confirms, sitting on the couch of my cheap flat.

"You were right love. I... I'm sorry. I wish I hadn't done it, any of it, I wish I never signed the contract."

"It... It's okay. You always wanted to be some secret spy. Is it fun?" He asks, being supportive as always. After everything, he continues to support me.

"Was pretending to die so I could help the NCA catch people fun? Not as much as I dreamed it would be. The worst part was... you know, pretending to die. I had to actually get in the accident and that was no fun, there was a whole separate contract for that," I tell him, he furrows his brows.

"Really?"

"Yeah, so I knew there was a chance I'd actually die, which I did... They just brought me back. The other contract was to not see anyone from my previous life and to keep the organization private. It was more a loyalty thing," I explain.

"I'm really glad they brought you back. Lou, you broke your contract... What'll they do to you?" He asks, looking at me hopefully.

"I mean, there's only really one thing they can do. They can't sue me - cause I'm technically dead - and they can't let me go around telling more people so..."

"Lou... No. I'm not letting them hurt you!" He raises his voice, a stubborn tone lacing it.

"It's okay, it'll be okay. I'll figure it out," I promise, cupping his cheek.

"Yo-you have to run! You can't let them get you Lou, they'll hurt you!" His eyes start watering and I pull him to my chest.

"Shh, I can't run and leave you here," I tell him, running my fingers through his hair.

"Then I'll go with you, but you can't stay."
