In the year 754 of Prosperity, a boy by the name of Michael was born. A natural born leader, he was put in the Specialty Fortitudo School four years earlier than normal. Although he made little friends, he excelled in his classes and graduated at the top of his class. At the age of 17, he started his shadowing of the scholars.
Scholar John was 83 years old and was losing his touch, his decisions were a little more reckless than normal, and he always arrived late to every meeting. Since he was the oldest, he was given an "apprentice" to take his place after he died. Although the other members of the Scholarship were concerned that John would not have enough time to teach the new scholar all that was needed to know, they trusted that the new member would be a fast and efficient learner, for after all, he was a genius.
