Amity sat on Luz's mattress, picking at the hem of her shirt anxiously. "Oh Amity guess what? I found some more people at Hexside who might be interested in our Azura club! It'll be so fun when we can have official club meetings and whatnot, don't you think? Not to mention, Willow said she'd love joining. She doesn't know much about the Azura books but-" Luz rambled on and on eagerly, a grin on her face. "LUZ!" Amity finally interrupted, still picking at the hem of her shirt. Luz immediately paused, confused. "Luz, I need to tell you something." Amity inhaled sharply, staring down at her boots. "What is it?" Luz went back to her usual grin. Amity couldn't take it. How could she tell beautiful, perfect, funny girlfriend that she was a monster? Luz didn't deserve her. Amity was a beast, a disgusting creature at best. Luz was so perfect and happy..Amity couldn't bring herself to ruin it. Just a few more days, she thought. She just needed a few more days. "I love you." Amity smiled sadly, kissing Luz's cheek gently. "Oh hermosa, I love you too. I'm sorry if I'm bothering you with all my rambling," Luz responded with a sheepish smile as she took Amity's hand in her own. "I love listening to your thoughts, trust me, Batata. I have to go though, I'll see you at school tomorrow!" She stood up briskly and left.
