You clutched your son's little hand, trying to keep him close. "Jeon Jeongsan, be a good boy."
"Eomma, where is appa?" The five years old boy looked up to you with large doe eyes, similar to his father. He was the epitome of innocence, born out of strong inherited genes of his paternal side.
Cupping his cheek you said," Appa will be here in a minute. Then we can go back home, okay?" He nodded while pouncing from one foot to another.
You checked the wall clock again. There was no sign of dismissal of this business party. It's getting late and Jungkook still hasn't came from his 'social interaction' among other individuals. Sitting in the corner you didn't wanted to be seen then asked about your husband's whereabouts because truthfully you didn't knew that yourself.
A sigh escaped your lips when you lost patience. You squeezed the tiny hand and said," Stay here and behave. Eomma will be right back." He obeyed while you went to search-... 'hunt' your man in the crowd.
How could he be so irresponsible? Your heart was pounding as he wasn't the jolly type. Rather than a man you could crack jokes with he was a man whose entry could dominate any room. His demeanor was cold and ruthless.
Suddenly you saw him standing with a group of six other businessmen with a grin. You crossed your arms and scoffed, "I swear I never saw Jungkook wearing a smile."
The least you observed was his slight smirk. To be honest, he always had an expressionless face which makes him unpredictable. The only time he had a flick of emotions was when he slept with you. The moment he felt pleasure running throughout his body like electricity was the moment he had ever shown you the messed up look although it was related to his post-orgasmic breathlessness.
Suddenly a bitter sour feeling raised your bile. Biting the side of cheek you told yourself it was nothing. It shouldn't mind you. You shouldn't be jealous!
But dman it, you were.
Ms. Georgia was Jungkook's secretary since ten years. Earlier she was his father's secretary and now his. They both are of same age. She was gorgeous, polite and elegant. An ideal woman who loved children and respected elders. She maintained a business relationship with Jungkook since the day he took over.
There was something about her that you hated.
It wasn't about her but yourself. You were 'insecure.' Maybe because you feared that if one day you'd step down she would be a perfect replacement.
You hoped that Jungkook would take a glance at you and take it as a cue to leave but he didn't looked around. Instead of him his secretary saw you. She tapped on his shoulder and whispered something.
He snapped his eyes at you then to his colleagues. He said something then shook hands with them. He turned his steps towards you.
"Where's Jeongsan?" He asked before giving his drink to a passing by waiter.
Before you could say you were pushed aside by a buff bodyguard. Jungkook's eyes darkened when he saw you hissing. He clenched his jaw before raising his arm to grab you but an old man held his hand for a shake. Jungkook bit back his rage because it was one of his father's best friend and a major share holder. He didn't wanted to lash out on a petite old man who barely had any tight muscles around his bones.
"Long time no see, Jungkook. I went to Japan for few years and you took over the country?" He laughed. Looking behind him he asked," Who is this beautiful woman beside you?"
You could no longer see them over the bodyguard because he was huge but only hear their conversation. "She's my secretary."
"Ah, I see. I thought she was your wife. My bad, you guys look so comfortable around each other that anyone could be mistaken. Take my advice and get married."
