Dragon Rider pt. 2

As season grew so did the bond between dragons. Sleeping next to each other and playing chase in open fields like two puppies. Indeed they shared same blood. Both of them were ferocious, rigid and tough. Celestial was exactly like his owner, disciplined whereas Artemis was rather reliable. That's why hatchlings spent much time around him, around you, because they often got scared of others.

Well, Artemis wasn't so noble either since he sometimes scared them off when they crossed thier limits or irritated him. And at those times a snort from Celestial was always heard even though he pretend to fall asleep.

Just like now.

"Like father like son," you walked towards Celestial who slide his nictitating membrane to look at you with one eye. You placed your palm on his wet snout.

Wrong move.

But after four years he got accustomed to it although Jungkook doesn't know about his pet's ease with you.

It happened in first year when you accidentally touched him. He was about to attack as per his master's given training if it wasn't for Artemis to defend his master.

You remember bringing extra portions of pork for Celestial because he indeed had an appetite and since he wasn't visited much, if not for use, you made sure to feed him in secret.

Celestial didn't hated you but he didn't liked you either.

You were bearable.

"Tomorrow is the annual hunt and your master is celebrating his 21st birthday." You sighed," He deserves to celebrate but I hope he aids to you too before competing against me."

Stepping back you looked through the window. Few yards away was the celebration. All were officially invited. Unofficially, they disliked your presence.

Attending your enemies birthday party meant he'll disrespect you, nothing new, he always doesn't it. Unlike on campus you won't have an excuse to leave. And who are we kidding? He'd be having sadistic pleasure just from spitting on your crumbled dignity.

You're happy that it's the final year. After graduation you wouldn't want to meet any of them even Jimin. He was no angel. Jimin was Taehyung's roommate. Taehyung and Jungkook were cousins as well as best friends. So when they insulted you Jimin laughed too.

He was a mop. The one who would calm you down so you won't complain to headmaster. Professor Jung often saw through it and wanted you to be vocal about it but you refused to give a statement, saying that you were okay and it was nothing you couldn't handle. You were an ideal student, so he told you to reach out if you ever needed help. You assured him about it.

Also, Artemis became a father recently. Namjoon's dragon gave birth to three eggs.

Due to the humiliation the neutral Namjoon flipped side and sticked with his brother Taehyung. You became a laughing joke but one look at one of the hatchlings biting Artemis tail and him walking like a lizard on limbs was more hilarious. Artemis loved fatherhood although hatchlings stayed with their mother during daytime.

It was midnight you finally decided to leave. Falling asleep back in your bed after a quick shower got you the sleep you required for tomorrow's preparation.

As expected whole class was late except you, obviously.

"Are we ready?" Headmaster announced upon his arrival. Hoseok nodded.

Headmaster said," In the dark forest lies a golden egg. Bring it back and you'll be honored a mansion."

After graduation the winner could live in one of the extra buildings owned by the king. King had enough, so he wanted to donate. It also rinsed his image.
