Jungkook used his spare key to open the door. He stepped in then slowly closed it. It was 9pm. He usually arrived from office at 11pm. Today he had less work so he came home early. Weather was also changing time to time so he decided to call it a day.
His active eyes dropped when he didn't see you in the living room. It's usually you waiting for him for dinner but it's been a month since he scolded you to not wait. He didn't wanted you to suffer.
However, he could feel how distant you became since a week. It was like he was just a man you shared a roof with. He walked to the bedroom. The door was partially open but lights were off. He thought you were sleeping until faint sobs reached his ears. He wanted to barge in to check on you but stopped when he overheard your conversation.
"I think he's cheating on me." You hissed.
"Are you sure?" The phone was on speaker.
"If not then I must be ugly enough to not spare a glance at."
"It might be just a misunderstanding."
"I don't know, Sera. It's been two years of our marriage but it feels so hollow. No intimacy, no special treatment as if I am any girl walking on the street. Nothing special. I'm his wife. I want the love every husband gives to his wife. Neighbours won't give me that. It feels so suffocating when I want something that every wife or a girlfriend get but I couldn't get it. Do I have to be that miserable to announce it? Do I have to tell him when to hold hands or to throw random kisses? Is he that dense?"
You were frantically breathing meanwhile Jungkook was thrown in a pit of dilemma. He was perplexed to hear about your point of view. He respected you, he trusted you but that wasn't enough. It could never be because a relationship doesn't work on platonic love. It needs to be filled with every shade of love. From soft to dark romance.
He was so busy in his business that he forgot about the world, about his own health then how could he look after you? Weren't you old enough to take care of yourself? But here he knew he missed few dice rolls in life and now was standing at the edge of a cliff.
"First, breathe. You should talk to him. What if he's taking time?"
He was indeed taking time in the first few months of marriage but during those days it became so natural to live with you that he found comfort in it. However when company was at the edge of bankruptcy all his attention diverted to save it. He dedicated an year to stabilize it. Also, made it reach high so that it could never fall again.
Though it didn't helped him to connect with you. It was a barrier between the bonding you two should had found in the initial stages. Yet he was past that phase to actually show hia soft side because you were already aware of his cold, ruthless boss attitude. He was regretting it. What if you'd leave him? He's heart clenched at the mere thought.
You scoffed,"Taking time since two years? Or he isn't interested in me. I ain't dumb to notice how everyone thinks he's available even if I walk beside him. I am scared that one day he'll... he'll divorce me."
Sera was concerned."Oh dear. Look Y/N, it doesn't depends on you what your future holds. I'll always be here to hold your back, whether he stays or not. Do you understand? Well, I've to cut the call now. My baby woke up. I have to go change his diaper."
"Yeah, sure, goodnight." You hung up.
Jungkook was numb, clueless. He had no idea about what to do to save this marriage. He'd not appreciate a divorce because it was just a misunderstanding. He had to clear up the mess.
He was overthinking about various possibilities in a dark when you walked into the living room and screamed. He flinched and immediately switched on the lights. You were on floor with a dry throat.
