I knew she was back. I just didn't know she was going to show up to every single place I'd be. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. But, every time I see her, she's either ignoring me, or, well, ignoring me.

For example, last week, saw her in the supermarket. I'm a hundred percent sure she saw me, but pretended she didn't. Or this morning, getting coffee, — I was just getting some water, I don't really drink coffee. — she was sat on a table, talking with some guy. We made eye contact, —which of course almost killed me — but she immediately looked back at the guy. He wasn't even good looking if you ask me.

We've never actually been together. I'm too much of a pussy to make a move. Well, apart from that one time, she was literally leaving the country and I kissed her. Kissed her. I didn't even give a warning. My first, most, ruthless decision, and last.

I have not touched any other girl since. Seen, kissed touched. Nothing. She was on my mind like football used to be before she entered my life. The day I ruined her science project. The guilt I felt that day.

She was crying so hard, I cried myself. Pedri came to see me the next day. I cried again — I was a sensitive kid — but, I think he realized that it was really a mistake and we hit it off.

I am now standing in the middle of the court while our coach yells instructions at us and she just walked in. I'm standing behind the guys, maybe if I slipped out he wouldn't notice?

I'm always serious about training. I'm serious to whatever I'm committed to. But she, she is going to ruin my seriousness and devotion to anything but her.

I jog slowly towards her. She notices me and I notice her, taking a deep breath before I arrive.

"Hello there." I put on a confident smile, knowing damn well whatever question she'll ask me I'd say yes in a heartbeat.

"Hi. How much time do you have left?" Thank you for the acknowledgment, I guess.

"Around fifteen minutes. Add an extra ten for changing and stuff." I answer.

"Okay, thanks." She dismisses me, going to walk away. "Umm tell Pedri I'll be waiting for him on the bleachers." She points out before walking away once again.

"Okay." Say something, say something. "Are you guys meeting up?" She turns back, mid walk.

"Umm, yeah we're going out for dinner." Oh how much I would love to take you out for dinner.

"I thought he and I had plans." Plain, white lie. We haven't talked about making plans ever since she's been in town. We usually stick together all the time. I have a feeling she's got something to do with this.

"Oh." No I didn't want to make you sad. No, no. Absolutely no- "Maybe you're supposed to come with us and he forgot to mention it." That's it, bonito.

"Yeah, maybe." I act clueless. I should be an oscar winning actor.

I hear my name being yelled from across the stadium. Okay, they noticed. I'm dead. "Hundred push up for every second you keep talking to your girlfriend!" Coach yells. She immediately blushes and looks away at the word girlfriend. I'm in love. I'm still standing in front of her, smiling at her embarrassment. "Three hundred push ups Gavi!" I'd do a thousand push ups if it meant she'd smile.

"I should probably go." I smirk. I'm not a usual confident person. But, I can't just be a little pasta around her.

"Yeah uhu." She nods her head, also walking away. I jog back to the group who have already started back to talking.

I look back once at her and see her stumbling over a chair while going up the bleachers. I'm having dinner with that clumsy girl. (And her brother but who cares.)

"Eight hundred pushups, Pablo." Coach manages to order in between talks.

"I'll pay for dinner. I'll even tip you." I beg Pedri for the thousands times.

"You can come. I'm fine with it. But, why are you so desperate on coming?" He asks, changing into a nicer pair of shirt than the dirty, sweaty, jersey he was wearing.

"No questions asks and I'll buy you dinner for the next month." I know Pedri. Food is the answer to anything with him. Like brother like sister I guess.

"Deal." He agrees. "Be ready in ten." He adds before taking his bag and walking away.
