Mia stood in front of the mirror as she got ready for work. She looked to see Simon as he asked into the room and smiled

"Hey" she said as he walked over to her and made her a coffee

"Hi. You seem in a good mood. I don't think I have seen you smile for weeks and I don't blame you I mean you lose your dad after all" Simon said as she smiled

"I mean I still miss him but I can't be sad the rest of my life. My heart breaks when I think of how he died and how I'll never see him again how I'll never have a conversation with him again but I know that he is always with me and he wouldn't want me to be sad besides I know as long as Waterloo road is there so is my dad" Mia said as Simon smiled

He pulled Mia into his arms and leant in and kissed her and smiled

"I'm so proud of you. I know it hasn't been easy but I am proud of you and I am here for you and I am going no where and we can start to look at the future" Simon said as mia smiled

"I like that idea and you have done a lot for me lately so you need to think of yourself. You need to put yourself first and you need to do what Is right for you now" Mia said as he looked to her and frowned

"What do you mean" he asked as she smiled

"I mean that you need to follow your dream and go for the headship. I love you si and you have but a lot on hold for me lately but I want to be there and support you" she said as Simon looked to her and smiled as he pulled her into his arms and kissed her

Mia got to work and smiled as she stood in the staffroom. She looked to toms cup that sat on the side and smiled as she heals it in her hands as Nikki walked in and looked to Mia and smiled

"Are you okay" Nikki asked as Mia nodded

"I'm good it's just some moments take me back a step but I'm okay" Mia said as Nikki smiled

"Your dad loved you. He was always talking over you he was so proud of you. He may be fine but we're all here for you. It will be okay" Nikki said as mia looked to her and smiled

"That means a lot. I just have to get use to things. To life without him but it gets a little bit easier every day" Mia said as Nikki smiled

Mia walked into Simons office and smiled as she looked to him "hey are you okay" he asked as she smiled

"I'm all good" she said as she sat next to him

"I have been thinking over what you said and going for the head job and I think I am going to do it" he said as mia smiled

"That's great...I know that you will do great. It will all be okay I'm so proud of you" she said as he pulled her close and kissed her and smiled as he looked to her

"I couldn't do it if I didn't have you. It is all going to be okay I promise" Simon said as he placed a hand on her cheek and smiled as he leant in and kissed her

Mia knew how none of it easy and how determined that she was to make it work but would it all work out in the end?
