You were trapped.

Your esophagus burns as you swallow the alcohol. Which is a total contrast from the cold ice running through your veins right now. This is it. The place was insanely crowded, but you felt like there were only you and him standing in that claustrophobic area.

The question remained though. What now?

The thing about it was that you were in the middle of a corridor, so there were people coming and going. You could literally hear some guys snorting cocaine in the bathroom next to you as Brian stood there like a child who lost their favourite toy.

Turning around and facing him was not an option for you but you had to do it eventually. Your eyes averted for a second as you saw someone looking directly at you before they spoke, you didn't know who it really was at first glance because of the low lights, but you had a feeling you had something to do with his presence there.

"Hey, (Y/N). Better take this one before they run out of wine" Max walks up to you, offering you another glass of wine, he had no idea about any of the things happening at the moment.

Brian takes the glass from his hand while playing close attention to your every move. Max shrugs and leaves you two alone. Then out of nowhere you see a couple of guys rushing to the bathroom, like actually sprinting, you had no idea what that was all about. You quickly turn around, not wanting to be in the middle of the hall. Perfect opportunity.

It's almost like Brian could see the engines turning. You rushed to the other side, but he tried to stop you, gripping your arm. Which made you stop in your tracks, as did the rest of the people, only momentarily though. You didn't know whose it was, but in the middle of all the turmoil you felt somebody's elbow hit you right in the stomach.

A loud yelp escaped you and Brian immediately turned pale. You squirmed at the sudden pain. It felt awfully familiar.

"Shit. How bad is it?" Brian took you in his arm. You took a deep breath, not wanting to make a scene. Only to notice the lack of Brian's grip on your arm as you saw him making his way to the bathroom. Oh no.

"Brian.. what are you doing?" He didn't answer, seeming to be contemplating if he should really get inside there and make the situation worse or if he should think straight and put your well-being first now. He didn't seem like the guy you knew, his eyes seemed darker, he looked intimidating. This whole situation is a total mindfuck.

"Let's go home" You get up, holding onto the wall for support and walking up to him, gripping his arm as hard as you could in that moment.

"No, we're going to the hospital" Brian said with his mind made up.

"NO" You said abruptly, as if it was the most absurd thing you've ever heard.

"Why?" He questioned. He still looked pale, scared. If he hadn't considered the possibility of you miscarrying while he was gone, he sure did after what had just happened.

"There's no need to" You said as you started to make your way through the crowd, knowing he would follow you. Sighing, relieved to be outside.

"Of course there's a fucking need. You got punched right where our baby is supposed to be" He was pissed again, and the way he said 'supposed' was actually really suspicious. For some reason he hadn't mentioned the wine thing yet. You could only assume that what happened afterwards erased it out of his mind, momentarily, of course.

"What do you mean "supposed"?" You asked, offended. The simple way of phrasing the word made you lose your grip. Suddenly everything felt suspicious to you. He knew, didn't he? He paused, noticing he'd screwed up.
