3 days until New Years

"I'm higher than Whitney at the Grammys" Baby D said as he sank low into the passenger seat of the car, blowing thick white smoke out of his nose. He bobbed to the light music playing in the background. "Naw this my shit. I will love you anywayy.. even if you can not stay..."

"Nigga that was the BET Awards." Milan's aggravating voice said next as she smacked him across the head playfully. "You been hogging the blunt for too long, puff puff pass nigga."

"Whatever the fuck it was- I'm high as shit." Baby D cackled and passed the blunt to Milan who was seated in the driver's seat. She looked through the rearview window at Halle, whose head was placed on the window. Her eyes quickly adverted to DeMarco who sat next to her looking stupid as usual.

She didn't trust neither one of they asses. Especially not DeMarco. She couldn't believe Baby D had fell for his bullshit ass lies and just took him back in without questioning him. She had her suspicions. She knew that he knew where Maya was. She just didnt understand why he was doing all of this for a hoe. All this shit could've been over by now but no.

Milan placed the blunt between her lips and inhaled deeply. This was what she needed after a long week. Who knew actually running girls, making schedules, and counting inventory day to day was this hard. But it was better than fucking. She was tired of fucking.

She reached behind her to pass it to DeMarco who silently declined. Halle did as well. "You niggas trippin'" Milan chuckled. "I never did a stake out before and if i wasn't smoking i dont know how i'd keep my composure. You sure that's the house Halle?" She questioned for what seemed like the 100th time.

"Yeah." Halle spoke but didn't say anything else. She had been a mute for the past 5 hours only replying to MIlan's same question every 30 minutes.

On the other hand, DeMarco was shitting bricks. He would have never thought he would be sitting outside of Sincere's place watching to see if Maya was in there. He wasnt even sure she was but still, the shit was nerve wracking in real life.

They had been sitting  3 houses down in an unmarked car for at least 5 hours  but there was no movement and all 4 of them were starting to get restless. The idea to do a stake out came out of nowhere. Milan was so thristy on trying to find Maya and Baby D was too but he didn't give a fuck that much. The only thing he was worried about was taking over Jamir's empire. And the date was coming up fast.

DeMarco blew out a breath and shook his head. His phone buzzed in his pockets repeatedly but he didn't dare answer.  Sierra had been blowing up his phone since he last saw her talking about some, "you need to see your son."

Yeah he figured the kid might be his but he needed to see some receipts. You can't just pop back up 10 years later out the blue and expect shit to be all cool.  DeMarco had other important shit to worry about.. Like his life. Their little family reunion would have to wait until the new year.

"Oh shit." Milan said and she sat up a little in her seat. A white U-Haul truck pulled up into their driveway and it seemed like everybody in the car held their breath. Some shit was finally happening.

"Who moving?" Baby D asked next and Milan shrugged her shoulders. "Let's see."

DeMarco leaned over to see NaTasha jump out of the passenger's side. His eyebrows raised. She was talking to whoever was in the driver's seat, waving her hands around like she was having a temper tantrum.
