Bea woke up slowly. She remembered being stabbed in the leg. Everything else was blurry. Bea looked at her leg. It was wrapped in bandages with blood seeping from either side of her leg. Bea winced. She couldn't feel her leg at all. She tried standing, but she still couldn't. "Bea You're awake," Bea turned and saw Sunday. "Iris and Hook came back with you. Your leg was dangling and this close to coming off. There are stitches under the bandages," "Oh," Bea said, laying back down in her bed. "Do you want some water or something?" Sunday asked. Bea shook her head. "I'm fine," Bea said. "O-okay, I'll let you rest. I'll tell Iris and your father your up. Iris is...working on Xavier's funeral," Bea sighed. Seeing Xavier in that place was painful. She would find out who did that to him. Sunday left. Bea sighed. Sawyer flew over to her, looking annoyed. "What?" Bea asked. Sawyer squawked. "Crap! I forgot to feed you! Um..." Bea looked at her leg. how could she do this? Maybe being an oracle has more than future telling? I mean, Merlin can do more. Bea thought. She looked at the bag of seeds from across the room. She waved her hand. Nothing. She tried again. Still nothing. Sawyer gave another annoyed squawk. "I'm working on it..." Bea said. She tried again. The bag floated slightly. Bea gasped in joy. The bag slowly floated over to Bea. Bea poured some seeds into Sawyer's feeder. Sawyer gave a happy squawk and started eating. Bea smiled. Suddenly, the pain in her leg increased. Bea gasped. "Oh...that really hurts..." Bea said. Iris ran in. "You're alright!" She said. "Iris, you were amazing back there," Bea said. "I can fight," Iris said. Iris looked at Bea's leg. "It's gotten worse..." Iris whispered. "It has?" Bea asked. "We should get you to a doctor. Now. Hook?" Iris called. "We need to go!"
"Looks like it's close to coming off," Doctor Whale said. "Is there anything you can do?" Hook asked. "Well, I could stitch it up better," Doctor Whale said. "Thank you," Hook said. Bea winced. Her leg was throbbing. "Wait..." Doctor Whale looked closer at the wound. "Oh no..." "What?" Sunday asked. "Do you have the sword she got stabbed with?" Doctor Whale asked. "Why would we?" Iris asked. "I think the blade was coated with poison. It's crawling up her leg," Iris gasped. "No..." she said. "You're kidding," Bea said. Doctor Whale shook his head. "Can you do anything?" Hook asked. "I could amputate the leg-" "No!" Iris gasped. "Well, you could extract it with magic?" Doctor Whale said. "We'll be going to Regina's then," Hook said. Bea felt the pain escalating higher in her leg. Bea screamed in pain. "Bea. Are you alright?" Hook asked. "Fantastic," Bea muttered. "Do you have anything to numb the pain?" Iris asked Doctor Whale. He nodded. "I do,"
So, they went to Regina's. the pain numb thing barely worked. "Father...if we have to amputate...before the poison gets any-" "No. You don't deserve that," "Father-" "Don't even talk like that. You'll get the poison out," Bea sighed. Iris knocked on the door of Regina's house. "What?" Regina answered, sounding annoyed. Then she saw Bea's leg. "What happened to her?" she asked. "Poisoned blade," Sunday said. "Oh..." "Can you extract it?" Hook asked. "I...I think I can. But it'll be hard. Do you know what type of poison?" Iris shook her head. "It would help if I knew," Regina said. "Sunday? Could you go to the woods and get it?" Hook asked. "Yeah," "Bring a weapon or something. There might be pirates," Bea said. She felt the poison rising again. She screamed in pain. "Hurry!" Hook yelled. Sunday burst into a sprint. "Oh, Bea," Iris sobbed. "Iris...Iris...please don't cry for me," Bea muttered. "It's getting worse," Regina said. "My guess is that you have until tomorrow morning," Bea inhaled sharply. "No..." Hook said. "There's a cure...or you can extract it?" Iris asked. "I need to know what poison it is," Regina said, apologetically. "I'm back!" Sunday came running in, the sword in her hand. She had a fresh cut above her forehead. "Here," Sunday handed the sword to Regina. "Thank you," Regina inspected the sword. "Well?" Hook asked. "It's Nightshade," Regina said. "Not Dreamshade, Nightshade," "Which is worse?" Iris asked. "Dreamshade," Sunday said, immediately. "You got the lucky one," Bea tried to smile. She couldn't feel her leg. "Can you get it out?" Hook asked. Regina shook her head. "No. No," Iris whispered. "But there's an antidote," Regina said. "Where?" Sunday asked. "My vault," "Well, let's go!" Hook said. "Father, I can't travel right now," Bea muttered. "Sunday, stay with her. Iris, come with me and Regina," Hook said. "But-" "Iris come. Sunday stay." Hook said, firmly. Iris stared at Bea for a moment. "Go," Bea whispered. Iris had tears in her eyes. Bea did too. Iris sighed and followed Hook and Regina. "You're going to be fine," Sunday said. "Sunday...you know that's not true," Bea muttered. "Hey. Don't talk like that. You're going to be fine. Please be alright," "I'll try my best," Bea whispered. The poison was still raising. Bea felt it. Her vision started going dark. Bea felt her heart slowing. Bea closed her eyes. "Bea? Bea! No, no, no," Sunday's voice sounded underwater. Regina said tomorrow morning... Bea thought. This can't be right. Then it just stopped. Everything. Bea knew it. It had happened.
She had died.
