*Four Months Later*
Avy was dressed in a black top with the smallest checks and a grey trouser. She had a bag hung over her shoulder, her old raggedy earphones in her ears, a pair of black heels on her feet and the slightest bit of make up on. First day of work - she knew she had to look and be her best. She smelt a little expensive, it was because of the perfume she had gifted herself after graduation along with a nice watch. It was the least she could do for herself, after the struggle she had put herself through to get there for five years.
Avy, Sahil and Vijay had successfully landed the placements at Avid Thoughts and Branding. Anay was yet to see the list of students placed at the company. He had ousted himself from the hiring process because he knew that his brother was a part of it, and he had grown attached to his friends over the past few months as well.
The office was fantastic, Avy thought. It was on the 18th floor of a building that had multiple other offices on other floors. The best part of their first job was that all the other friends; Binoy, Ayushi and Sneha were placed in different companies in the same building - just in different blocks. Avy's phone rang as she walked into the elevator. She was an hour early, so the elevator was empty. The rush hour would begin soon.
"Avy! Uth!" Sahil mumbled sleepily.
"I'm already here you idiot." She chuckled.
"What? So early? Kyu?" He gasped, now more awake.
"First day hai... So..." She shrugged.
"Fine... I'll be there in a bit." He huffed, getting up quickly.
She sat down on the metal seat on the floor. It was beautiful. The entire theme was a deep red and grey. She felt a nervousness trickle in her chest and her body run cold. She rocked back and forth, looking around and wondering what this place held for her. She wondered how her story would mould in this place, would it lead to the last of her story? Or was it just another phase? She sighed, pulling out her water bottle and sipping on the cold water.
The elevator slid open, and three women and one man walked in. The man walked straight to the reception, greeting the security guard there and sat down behind the desk. The three women used their thumbs and faces to log in through the biometrics.
"Good morning!" She stood up quickly, to greet them all.
"Hey! Are you one of the new joinees?" One of the women asked.
"Yes." She nodded, nervously.
"I'm Rachna. The Creative Head's PA. And this is Shruty, one of our team leads and Sanyuktha... She's a tech writer." Rachna introduced her.
"Good morning. I'm Avyanna Krupa Rajah." Avy smiled at them.
"Our HR and onboarding team will be here any moment. Why don't you wait in the conference room and wait for the others? You can grab a coffee and whatever you want from the kitchen." Rachna said, ponting to a room.
"Thank you." She nodded, walking towards the door. She took a deep breath and walked right inside, she wasn't in the system yet, so she had to be let in by someone else. She looked around at the office, it was so unlike a typical cubicle office space. It looked cool, there were quotes and paintings on the walls, there were glass walls with open cabins to the left, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a few other rooms she didn't know about. She walked into the kitchen, even that place was so cool. She looked at the coffee machine and her eyes widened with excitement.
"Madam, give two minutes to me, I will put milk in machine." The peon said. She nodded, thanking him quickly.
"Your mug you get. Use that only. If you want green tea or other tea, you find packet in drawer. Use hot water in kettle for tea." He instructed her.
