Painful screams could be heard outside the hospital room, nurses rushed around trying to calm the loved ones of the woman inside and help the doctor at the same time.
Tears fell down her cheeks uncontrollably as she went through the most painful moment of a woman's life. She couldn't describe the process as beautiful, not while her hair was clinging to her face with sweat and she let out another gut wrenching scream but she knew the outcome of the pain will be the most beautiful one in the world.
Then it stopped, the screaming, the people outside held their breaths as their hearts dropped for a second. Then came the most beautiful, melodious sound that they had ever heard and tears fell uncontrollably again as they rushed inside to see their grandchild and child.
The woman held the child in her hands, her eyes wide as she stared at it as if in a trance.
The child had the most beautiful lotus shaped brown eyes she had ever witnessed, the new mother's eyes welled up as she hugged the child to her chest placing a small kiss on its pink cheek.
She glanced up at her family and smiled,
"It's a girl"
The deva's smiled, their goddess had arrived on earth and so had her companion. They were once again together. They rejoiced as they showered the girl with their blessings, just as they had done to a boy a few months ago.

The child, now eight years old, had become the life of her family. Being the first child of her parents she was the apple of her grandparents eyes and was adored by her aunt and great grandparents as well. She found herself lucky to have a big family and being able to bask in the love of her great grandparents and her grandparents, she had learned not many had that chance.
One particular day she came back from her school and found her grandfather at the bus stop instead of her mother who would usually pick her up on her way back from her own school. Her mother was a teacher. Confused, she went home with her grandfather and rushed to find her mother to tell her all about her day. She ran to her grandpa, worried when she couldn't find her mother anywhere.
"Dadu, where is ma?" she asked, her eyes wide with worry.
The older man smiled at his granddaughter,
"She has gone to get your little sibling"
Her eyes widened even more as a huge smile broke over her face,
"I'm going to be an elder sister!" She squealed just as the doorbell rang
Her grandmother was home from the hospital,
"It's a boy," she smiled through her tearful eyes.
As the little girl let out a gleeful queal once more,
"I'm gonna have a little brother!"
She ran to her grandma and wiped her tears,
"Don't cry dadi, I'm gonna have a little brother! I'll finally have someone to play with!"
Her dadi laughed and nodded as the girl started running away,
"Radha! Where are you going? Don't run, you will fall down!" her grandma yelled as her grandfather let out small chuckles at her excitement.
"I'm going to tell Kanha!" She yelled as she rushed towards the temple in their house.
Her grandparents looked at each other and smiled,
"It's all your doing that she is so attached to Lord Krishna" her grandfather says
Her grandma smiled,
"It's our Radha's prayers that blessed us with this boy, she had been an only child for so long she finally got herself a little brother to make her loneliness go away. And afterall, her name is Radha, how can she stay away from her Kanha?"
