The sky transformed into warm hues of orange, pink, and gold as the sun set. Radha stared out of the balcony of Krishn's house at the silhouettes of trees and houses that graced the horizon. It was well over five in the evening when she saw her father's car pull over in the street. She had never been so relieved on seeing her family except that first day of play school when her grandfather had come to pick her up.

After the very eventful weekend she had had with Krishn, she wanted nothing more than to leave his house. Everything confused her here, she sighed and her hand habitually raised to tuck back the strand of hair that was always on her face, only to find that for the first time in forever it had stayed behind her ear. She was surprised but her constantly tired mind couldn't keep up with her thoughts anymore, so when Krishn suddenly appeared beside her, leaning against the railing, she did not question it.

He waved to his mother and brother before turning towards her, "Well now that you're going, you gotta pay me back." Radha could practically hear the smirk on his face.

She turned towards him, her eyes narrowed, "Pay you back?"

"Yeah, for my amazing Kheer, my amazing flute skills and that," he said, gesturing towards her ear at the piece of hair sticking out from underneath it.

Radha smirked at him, "Your Kheer and your flute were your duty towards me as your guest Krishn, and you had nothing to do with this," she pointed towards her ear once again and began to head down the stairs to greet her family.

He couldn't help but laugh at her witty response as he stared at her retreating back, "If that's what you think then, shouldn't it return to its previous position?" he asked himself and gently blew in the air. Radha suddenly felt a breeze right past her ear as the once neatly tucked strand now blew in her face once again. She sighed in frustration but continued down the stairs, used to it.

"WHAT?!" Priya and Aanya shrieked in unison, their voices shrill. Radha immediately regretted telling them about her eventful weekend, the next day at school.

She immediately shushed them, "shh guys, if I needed the entire class to know, I'd announce it in a microphone."

They disregarded her comment, "you're telling us you basically spend the weekend with the most charming boy of our batch and expect us to be quiet about it??"

Radha did a double take at their words, when had Krishn become the "most charming boy of their batch", she did not know.

"Why are you guys behaving like he is a popular celebrity and not our classmate?" Radha scoffed, her face flushed.

"Well he might as well be a celebrity at this point, everyone wants to be friends with him or more," Priya stated and since she was the most exposed to school gossip out of the three of them, Radha didn't question her words no matter how much she wanted to.

"Hey ladies, what are you talking about?" Raj slipped his arm around Aanya's shoulder, dropping his weight on her and getting a smack in return, Radha let out a laugh at their interaction.

"Hey! The frowning lady finally laughed. Raj, you did it bud!" She heard Aditya's voice from behind her as he patted her head approvingly earning a glare from the raven haired girl making him laugh. Arjun and Krishn walked towards them, joining in on the conversation. Laughs erupted from the group now and then at the expense of either one or all of them.

Arjun, always the mom of the group, slightly nudged Radha from beside her as the others continued to talk and whispered, "Are you okay? You seemed a little down on Friday."
