"Dude, you guys heard about the new open fast food near our rival school?"

"Oh yes, yung Mcdo. I don't like it there bro, loyal ako sa Jollibee. It's part of my childhood."

"What the hell! Of course we knew! Mcdonald's is famous internationally. Anong akala mo sa 'min that we're not updated?!"

I have been side-eyeing and listening to my friends' conversations. Ang ra-random ng topic nila every minute. Earlier, they talked about the girls they've been hooking up, and then now it all suddenly switched to food. Maybe later they will talk about something stupid.

Right now. We're here in the school gymnasium. We just finished practising for the upcoming game. My friends and I are members of the basketball team in our school.

We are still in sweat while talking to each other in the locker room. All of us are still wearing our jersey short uniform, but the upper is already changed to something comfortable t-shirt while mine is in a white hoodie. Some are wearing slippers with socks on, or still, in their air Jordan shoes.

"Bro, we should try their Mcfloat kung delicious ba. We'll compare it to the coke float."

"Gago! Anong i-co compare mo doon na parehas na may maraming ice cube, soda tapos ice cream sa ibabaw."

And they all laughed together.

Idiot.

"Sus sinisiraan mo lang yung Mcdo kasi isa kang endorser ng Jollibee noong bata ka pa."

I laughed with them this time because it's funny, of course. And it's actually true.

Well, it's hard for him to forget his childhood fast food.

"We should try, let's see kung unbeatable ba 'yang Jollibee mo," I said, laughing a bit, joining their conversation. Gusto kung mapikon 'tong kaibigan ko kasi batang jollibee 'to eh. Bata palang endorser na ito at lumalabas pa sa TV advertisement at mga tarpaulin sa daan.

Kanina pa ako busy sa phone at nakikinig lang sakanila because my phone is always beeping kaya nababaling yung attention ko sa phone but my ears are all in on their conversations. Unfortunately, my exes' fling is still messaging me even though we're already done. I reply but not as sweet as a boyfriend, I just casually reply as a good man.
