I woke up the next morning to the sound of my alarm. I groan as I turn it off, deciding that I would just skip school today. I then lie back down but couldn't fall asleep so I just stared up at the ceiling.

After a few minutes Heeseung gets a call on his phone, causing him to wake up. He grabs it and sits up in the bed as he answers the call.

"Hello." Heeseung says in his groggy morning voice. I watch as he gets out of bed and walks around the room, listening to the person on the phone. "Alright, send me the address." He says before hanging up the phone.

He looks over at me, "I've gotta do something for my job. I'm not gonna be back until night. You can stay here if you want or leave, I don't care. I'll give you my spare key." He says before walking out of the room.

I push the blanket off of me and get out of bed. Heeseung walks back into the room and hands me the key. He then goes to his closet and takes out some clothes before walking into the bathroom and getting changed. He walks out of the bathroom with his pajamas and something else in his hand. He doesn't show me it as he throws his clothes in his laundry bin.

He then walks over to me and puts his hand on the top of my head, ruffling my hair before he turns around and leaves the room.

I was sitting in my bed, staring up at the ceiling as I wondered to myself what Heeseung's job was. I thought back to how he brushed off the topic of his job so quickly. I also thinking back to how he got beat up because of an 'argument' he had at work. I then think about what he could've been holding in his hand.

I knew that really it wasn't any of my business but I had gotten closer to Heeseung in the few weeks I had known him and well, I had developed a bit of a crush on him so obviously I was curious.

I was interrupted from my thoughts at the sound of my bedroom door opening. I looked down and saw that it was my badly drunken mother. She stumbled into the bedroom, a bottle of almost completely dranken whiskey in her hand, as she pointed at me.

"What do you think you're doing home so early?" She slurs and I don't say anything, having learned that when she's like this, it's best to just let her speak. "Whatever, do what you want." My mom says before she turns around and stumbles back out of my room, flailing her arms around stupidly. Once she's down the hall I get out of my bed and close my door once again, this time locking it.

I sit on the rooftop, finishing up my Pre-Calc homework as I listened to music. I heard the sound of the door opening and I turned around where I was sitting on the ground to see Heeseung walking up to me with a bag.

"I thought you would be up here." He says with a smile as he sits down across from me. I smile, not saying anything as I finish up my last question and stuff it back into my backpack, probably crumbling it up but not really caring about that.

I look back up at the boy who had emptied out the contents of his bag which was two trays of sushi, two cokes, and a blunt in a plastic bag. I take the wooden chopsticks and break them apart as I open up the sushi he had gotten me. He does the same and we both take a piece from our own sushi.

"Thanks Hee." I say, not even thinking when I called him by a nickname.

"That's cute, call me that more often." He says with a smile and a wink. I blush as I take another piece of sushi and put it in my mouth. "Have you been alright lately?" He suddenly asks and I look up at him confused.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"I don't know we haven't hung out much lately so-" He stops talking and opens up his drink silently.

I sigh, "I'm sorry, school has been a lot along with my annoying as drunk of a mother." I respond.

He nods, "Trust me, I understand that. Just, text me more, okay?" He says and I nod. "Do you like your sushi? I didn't really know what you liked so I just got you that." He tells me and I smile.

"It's good, I'm really fine with any type of sushi." I honestly respond.

"Good. I just really wanted to see you. Work has been.. a lot lately." He tells me and I watch him glance over at the blunt before looking back up at me.

"I really wanted to see you too." I say as I blush a little. "I'm so sorry and you can tell me if I'm being annoying and I'll stop talking but I've just been really wondering. What is your job?" I ask.

Heeseung chuckles, "It's okay. Listen, I really want to tell you I do but it's.. it's dangerous. It's not that I don't trust you it's just that- it's complicated." He responds and I just look at him.

"Are you in the Mafia?" I ask in a whisper.

Heeseung starts laughing, "No I'm not." He responds with a smile.

"Oh, okay." I say with a smile. "Thank you for telling me even though it's really none of my business." I thank him.

"No, it's fine, it is your business. We're together a lot and I've had work things come up a few times when we've hung out, I could understand why you'd want to know." Heeseung says as he takes a sip of his coke.
