"Jasper is still easily overwhelmed, but yeah...He has came a long way. There's times...I feel like maybe I should of...Taught him things." James whispered, tucking his hands into the pocket of the shorts he had on. Victoria paused what she was doing, and walked over to the man. "James, you spend nearly 30 years, trapped on an island. You have to try not to blame yourself for the lack of information you shared with your son. It would have been cruel, telling him about a world you believed he'd never see. You and your son survived the impossible!" She said as she slowly rested against him. He smiled lightly and locked his arms around the woman. "It's just... difficult at times to understand that. Jasper was completely clueless about this world...And there's so many things that have changed since I've been here. I know how overwhelming it can be for myself...and I know he is at times. He is a young married man and a father of about to be two." James said. "I...know it isn't exactly my business, but it got brought up that Jonathan, wasn't biologically his child." She said and James let out a sigh. "Form the information Harry told me. Thomas got in the eyes of some sick fuckers who were making videos..." James said and the middle aged woman frowned. "That's awful. Who does such a thing?" She asked. "I haven't a clue. Pads later told me, him and Teddy burned the place to the ground, so hopefully, that's helped at least stall some of their activities." James said. "I hope so." Victoria said.
It become clear about an hour later, why James sleep was uneasy. After a few bites of lunch, James hurried into the bathroom and vomited up that lunch. Victoria, putting the back of her hand to his forehead. "You should get back to bed, James." She said softly. "You...haven't a slightly idea, of how much Jasper will freak out if he knows I'm sick." James said. "James...You need rest. I won't push medicines, because I know you haven't had any since a long time ago, but rest and water. I'll talk to Jasper." Victoria said as James slowly got back to his feet. "Trust me, Viv. I'll be just fine." James said and she let out a sigh, but placed a light kiss on his cheek. "Before the baby is born...Can we make an appointment at the courthouse? Or, are you needing more time?" She asked. James walked over to the sink and grabbed his tooth brush. James turned on the sink. "No, you can set up am appointment, just be sure it's at least three weeks out, so the time can be requested off work. I want the boys and Sirius there too. Of course the kids and I want to go through Miss Alexandra little dresses, because the one I told her to chance into, was way to short." James said, before he started to brush his teeth. Victoria eased up to set on the counter by the skin. "She texted me on the way to school and told me you got fussy about her dress. It wasn't that short." Victoria said. "She's a young lady. There is no need for a dress or skirt above her knees or anything sleeveless!" James said. "Is that what happen to my tanks?" Victoria half whined. "Viv, I care about you and I find you very attractive. However, there is a time and place for less skin." James said. "She'll get fussy." Victoria said. "I'll handle a fussy teenager. She'll dress appropriately, at least while I'm hear. Mary got angry at me for saying something about her leaving her bedroom half naked. That isn't appropriate and I really wish you talk Alexandria into getting ride of her makeup." James said. "Love...I agreed to stop keeping mine on a long time ago." Victoria said. "And I very much appreciate that, but Alexandria doesn't need makeup and she needs to dress like an appropriate young lady. I know it might seem foolish, but it's just how I feel. She doesn't need to be going to school trying to get boys looking at her. She's a very pretty young woman, she doesn't need makeup and she shouldn't be worried about what they think about her like that anyway! She really should be worried about her education!" James said, starting to brush his teeth. "You need to talk to her, then. I mean, her father doesn't really mind...but she is here mostly. Just, talk to her, alright?" Victoria said and James nodded.
After James cleaned off his face and ran a hand through his hair, he gave her a light kiss. "I know...It's old school." James said. "I understand where it comes from, I think she will too, but understand if it isn't so easy with her. I mean, she is now a seventeen year old teenager." Victoria said, opening the medicine cubby. "I know." James said. "At least take a Tylenol? It is supposed to reduce temperatures." Victoria said. "I promise, I'll be just fine.' James said.Victoria and James got the house finished set up for the small party, that was just family. Jasper, Thomas and Johnathan were also over. Victoria handed her daughter a visa gift card. She smiled, giving her mom a big hug. "Your step daddy wants to talk to you." Victoria said. "I don't see the big deal, ma." She half whined. "He cares about you, Alexandria." She said and after a pause, Alexandria give her a light smiled, before she went to find James. James was half asleep, at the study table in her bedroom. A book was opened. Alexandria walked over to him and eased her hand on his shoulder. "James?" She said and he yawned and rubbed his eyes. James, wasn't feeling very at all, but wouldn't dear let Jasper find that out. "Hello, Alex. Happy birthday, sweetie." He said, and she gave him a light smiled as he turned around in the chair.
