Three weeks have past by since the first birthday of Harry and Draco's granddaughter, Svetlana Lily Evans Potter. She was the second child of Thomas and Jasper Potter, their only little girl.
After her celebration of birth, Johnny kept with Harry. The toddler just wanted to be close to his grandfather. People assumed he could feel Harry was conflicted and just needed some of Johnny's love. Johnny was happy to spend time with Harry, when they were able to. Johnny went home a couple days ago, because Harry's operation was sat for this afternoon. Harry's mental state, up and down because of it. They all did their best to support him, but Harry still spoke of adoption, but only after the birth could say for sure.

Harry was standing in the kitchen, cooking breakfast for the children, before they went school or daycare. Teddy and his new 'lady' friend was coming over after school hours to babysit, until Draco let them know if (or when) Harry wanted them to come to the hospital. Teddy and his 'friend' actually came early, because Teddy didn't want to be up alone. Even if he had his friend, she didn't know everything going on in the man's head. So, 17 year old Mary opened the door for her Uncle. He gave her a hug, before his attention turned to the little girl she held on her hip. Zachary's daughter. Sonechka hair was starting to turn more a strawberry blonde, loosing the redness she once had. She was still a pale girl, but she had baby glasses on her face, holding her bottle. She, would be a year old in four short days. "Hi, baby! Looky what I got you." Teddy said.
Of course, only Teddy would gift the baby a baby proof dum set. "Pa tells me you and your band are playing before somebody?" Harry said, once Teddy came in the kitchen, his friend pouring herself a mug of coffee. "PA got it set up, but he seemed to like the song we sent to him. I doubt it will go anywhere, brother. Most of my songs are rather dark, if you haven't noticed." Teddy said. "Oh, I have, but they are still good you know. I take it pa is asleep, where's dad?" Harry asked. "Running after that woman James dropped off. She disappeared last night and he's been looking for her since. I think he found her last night, but she's got into some trouble, I think? I don't know. She seems like a hot mess." Teddy said. "A bit, but Dad wants to try and help her out, maybe get her kids back." Harry said. "Who...is she?" Teddy asked. "Victoria's Frist born. No her kids aren't to be told, not my request." Harry said, finishing up the last of the breakfast being cooked. "I see. Won't Danny be here?" Teddy asked. "Always, but you know how he is with others." Harry said. "I do know." Teddy replied back, as Harry called the children down for breakfast.

Once the household cleared out, Harry sat on the couch. Danny, Teddy and his 'friend' where the only ones in the house. It wouldn't be until this afternoon when Harry had to be admitted, and he would drag his feet as long as possible.
Teddy picked up the television remote and found a children's program that seemed to get the attention of the toddler. Danny got his special blanket and wiggled on teddy's lap. Teddy gave the boy a smile, before tucking him in. The toddler relaxed against his uncle, watching the television as the conversation started up again. Nothing of importance, really. Teddy gave Harry his thoughts on what to do about the baby, but it simply seemed to upset Harry. So, he changed the subject. Harry got off on teddy's old friends, his new little band. Teddy was enjoying his time playing, but it wasn't really want he wanted to do. He wanted his life back in the navy, but that was robbed form him. Harry couldn't help with it, because once he was cleared after the mandatory time off for the pregnancy, he'd be back at his post.

Harry went upstairs to slowly start getting ready, leaving Teddy to get Danny ready for the car ride. The toddler wasn't very happy to change his clothes, but Teddy was soft spoken with the toddler boy and took his time. Danny was ready in half an hour and back downstairs playing with some toys. Finally, Harry came downstairs. Teddy's 'friend' would keep at the house, while Teddy dropped Harry off at the hospital. Teddy didn't drive to fast, at Harry's request. Harry still wasn't in a hurry to go through this. He still didn't know what he was going to do. Everything told him to give the baby up, but his heart didn't want to. He wasn't sure he could. "Draco will be meeting you there in a short time, right?" Teddy asked, once they were almost there. "Yeah..." Harry said softly. "Brother, it will be alright. Try not to worry so much, okay?" Teddy said, but Harry let quiet, his attention going back on the road outside.
Teddy watched his brother disappeared into the hospital, before he drove back home with Danny.

Harry called Draco to come once he got settled, requested the children not come, not yet. Harry just wasn't ready. Harry still didn't have the answer the hospital social worker needed. He only had a short time after the birth to think because he wouldn't stay at the hospital if he didn't keep his boy.
Draco placed a light kiss on his lips and eased in the bed beside him. Harry's emotions were all over the place right now, so Draco just held him close, placing little kisses on his head until Harry felt he could talk. Nothing really was said, He didn't have the answer. "You need to meet our boy, Harry. I promise, I will support whatever you decide, but meet him." Draco said. "Promise?" Harry asked. "Yes, I promise you." Draco said.

Draco's phonecall came to the house later then thought because there was a  complication during the operation and Harry lost a lot of blood. Harry still laid in recovery when the children came to the hospital. The only ones he agreed to let see the baby, were the older children, who understood the baby might not come home with them. "What about dad?" Zachary asked. "He is resting. He should be able to have visitors soon. He still...hasn't told me anything. I wasn't sure If I should have called, but I know you all were worried." Draco said. "Yes, but I want to know." Thomas said. "So do I, but I just don't have the answer right now. Come, let's get back. I'll go check on Harry." Draco said.

--

Harry half woke up when he felt the kiss on his head. He couldn't understand everything Draco told him, at least not right away. It was the cries of the newborn boy that fully woke the man up. The little boy needed the contact of his brith father and a bottle he didn't want to take. Draco eased the bed up to where Harry could sit and slowly laid the newborn boy down in his arms. Harry held the bottle in his mouth as he slowly started to drink the bottle. It kept very quiet for a long time. Harry just watching the boy sleep in his arms. He made small noises each time Harry moved, a bit uncomfortable Harry was. His stomach ached so much form the operation. His thought was clear now.
