Part IX: The Third Yakumo, in Action!

(Y/N) POV:

Okay... it's time. I was standing in front of a gate, a gate to the arena where my battle was about to take place. That's right, the tournament hosted by the residents of Youkai Mountain has started. The strongest beings from all of Gensokyo have gathered here and I apparently am one of them, lucky me hehe.

Kanako: "All right then, it's time for our first battle! Open the gates!"

Kanako Yasaka, wind goddess and main god of Moriya shrine, she along with Suwako Moriya, the former god of the shrine, are the announcers for this tournament.

The gates opened revealing myself and my opponent to the arena, which was filled with cheers from the spectators.

Kanako: "This is an interesting pairing! On one side we have the Seven-Colored Puppeteer, Alice Margatroid! This girl will tear you apart with her killer dolls if she wants to so be careful!"

The crowd cheered loudly, all seeming to like Alice and you can even hear some 'ze's in there.

Alice: "*Sigh* They are not killer dolls.."

Suwako: "On to our next participant! One of the few males in Gensokyo excluding the Human Village and also younger sibling to the Gap Youkai, tread forward, (Y/N) Yakumo!"

I step forward into the arena. The crowd started cheering even louder, all of them excited to see my abilites in battle.

Kanako: "None of us have never seen the younger Yakumo in battle, can he match up to the fearful reputation his sister carries?!"

(Down in the arena with (Y/N) and Alice.)

"Hello Alice, it looks like you're my opponent huh?"

Alice: "Mhmm, I have never seen you in battle. Please don't hesitate to go all out~"

"Heh, I won't as long as you do the same. How about we give the spectators a show?"

Alice nods with a small smile. Suwako then begins the countdown.

Suwako: "10, 9, 8, 7, 6.."

Alice and I enter our battle stances, ready to give it all.

Suwako: "5, 4, 3, 2, 1.."

Suwako: "GO!"

Our battle begins. Alice doesn't waste any time and immediately fires off waves of danmaku at me. But, with me being trained by Yukari and the others I easily dodge them and respond with a wave danmaku of my own, which Alice manages to dodge aswell.

Alice: "Let's turn this up a notch shall we? Puppeteer Sign, Maidens Bunraku!"

Red lasers accompanied by blue danmaku trails begins firing at me. This was very easy to dodge as you could the where the lasers were about to shoot. But it feels like this is just the beginning..

Alice: "White Sign, Chalk White Russian Dolls!"

Alice's dolls started appearing everywhere around me and all of them were firing barrages of danmaku! I managed to dodge all of them by using my gaps. How lucky, I wouldn't have survived otherwise..

"All right, it's my turn! Boundary, Mesh of Light and Darkness!"

Lasers started firing at Alice from all directions and balls of danmaku were raining down on her at the same time! But Alice being Alice she managed to dodge almost all of those too, but it was close, she appears to be a bit damaged. The crowd cheers loudly cause of the battle they are currently seeing.

Suwako: "Alice Margatroid seems to have been hit by the Yakumo's lasers! What will she do now?

Alice: "Ugh, that was close.. Elegant Sign, Spring Kyoto Dolls!"

Alice's third spellcard unleashed flower-like patterns of danmaku at me. This spellcard was a bit tricky to read but I managed to see that the danmaku were formed in circles so all I had to was to dodge them. I raise my hand in the air.

"It's time to end this, (Y/N)'s Arcanum, Danmaku Bounded Field!"

A storm of danmaku began forming around Alice with no room to escape.

Alice: "No way, there's no room for me to go through!"

"This is over."

The storm got smaller and smaller until it hit the target.

Alice: "AHH!"

A huge explosion happened where Alice stood. After all the debris and dust disappeared you could Alice laying on the ground, wounded.

Suwako: "It looks like (Y/N)'s last spellcard deemed Alice unable to continue fighting! (Y/N) Yakumo is the winner!"

The arena started roaring with cheers. I nodded satisfied with the results before I went over to Alice and check on her. I kneeled down and held her head up.

Alice: "Uugh.."

"I hope didn't go too far with you?"

Alice painfully smiled at me.

Alice: "I did say to go all out so.. Mind carrying me to the medical bay?"

"Heh, of course."

I begin picking Alice up bridal style and start heading over to the medical bay. Alice, happy that she got me as her opponent, happily sighed and closed her eyes, too tired after our battle. All while the arena roared..
