Crashing into You - Vance Joy
You came along. You light up my days, my personal sun. Showing me all the ways I could fall."

Y/N's POV
Lizzie and I walked into the hospital with much higher spirits than we did yesterday. Evan was alive, he was okay, and we would find out more about his condition tonight.
It was around lunch time, so we brought everyone some Thai take-out. Ev's feeding tube was removed last night and he was so excited to get to eat normal food again. The doctors said he still had to be careful, though. His stomach hasn't had real food in a long time, so he could get sick and with his limited movement, that would be gross for everyone.
We gathered around Ev's bed and started eating, watching The Office, Ev's favorite show on the TV.
"How'd your scans go this morning?" I asked as I popped some noodles into my mouth.
"Fine, I guess. I had to be really still but that wasn't an issue since I can't fucking move anything." Evan quipped back sarcastically, making Lizzie and I smile at the remark.
"Mom wanted me to tell you that they had some meetings in the morning but they would be here tonight to hear the results with us."
"Sounds good."
"When does your physical therapy start?" Flo asked.
Evan shrugged as he swallowed the bite that was in his mouth. "Not sure. They have to see what the tests say first. Then they'll know how to proceed."
"That makes sense." She said, but I could tell she was getting antsy for answers. Evan was my brother and best friend, but I felt for Flo. I had no idea how I would react if Lizzie was ever in this type of situation. And I prayed I would never find out.
We spent the day wasting time. Lizzie was curled up into my side while we subtly eavesdropped on Flo and Evan at his bed. Flo was sitting in a chair beside him and was resting her head on her hands, looking at him with all of the love in the world.
"So Paris after this?" She whispered to him.
"Yes! Or Italy. Either one would be fantastic. Just got to get my legs to work again."
"They will. We'll make it happen, regardless." She smiled back. "The scars on your forehead and jaw are hot, by the way."
"Oh, yeah? You like those?" Ev teased back as my body tensed under Lizzie.
"I don't want to listen anymore." I whispered to her as she pinched my side and giggled.
"Flo heard worse, remember?" She whispered back, her breath tickling my ear and making my face flush.
"Yeah, because of you and your inability to keep your hands to yourself."
She hummed as she thought about my response and traced her fingers up the inside of my thigh. "Or," She said, still very close to me and sending shivers down my spine. "Your inability to say 'no'."
I groaned quietly as I glanced over at Evan and Flo and found them laughing together at something Ev said. Thankfully, they weren't paying any attention to us. "This is not the time, baby."
Sighing in defeat, she pulled her hand away and rested her head back on my chest. "I know, I just miss it."
I grinned as I stroked the hair on top of her head and left a small kiss on her part. "Me too. I promise," I started, angling myself to where I could whisper in her ear, "You'll get the strap soon."
