Daylight - Taylor Swift

"I don't wanna look at anything else now that I saw you. I don't wanna think of anything else now that I thought of you."

Y/N's POV

We picked up our bags from baggage claim, ducked our heads to avoid paparazzi and flashing cameras, then climbed into the waiting car.

"Hello, Alfred." I greeted as I slid into the backseat next to Lizzie.

"Good afternoon Ms. Y/L/N." He replied before turning his eyes to see Lizzie through the rearview mirror. "Ms. Olsen." He nodded.

"Hello, Alfred. Thank you for picking us up."

"It's my pleasure. I hope you two had a pleasant visit to New York?"

"We did, thank you." I replied, squeezing Lizzie's hand in my own and giving her a warm smile.

The traffic was limited so we pulled up to the house in no time. I grabbed the heavy suitcase since we shared one and lugged it up to the front door while Liz fumbled with the keys before letting us in the house. I tightened my grip on the bag as I carried it up the stairs and into our bedroom, letting out a sigh of relief at finally being home.

Lizzie's arms snaked around my waist as her head rested between my shoulder blades, allowing my body to relax the rest of the way in her arms.

"I'm glad we're home." She mumbled into the fabric of my sweatshirt, making me smile as butterflies danced in my stomach. I will never get tired of hearing her call this place our home.

"Me too." I replied, turning around so I could wrap my arms around her shoulders and smiling again as I felt her nuzzle her head into my chest. I looked around the room and let out a deep sigh as I took it in. The bed was unmade, clothes were scattered around in random places, and various chapsticks and make-up items were on the floor of the bathroom. The sight was sobering, and I was brought back to that very scary phone call. We were racing around this place, throwing random items into a bag in the off-chance we would need them. It was a mess in here. "We really haven't been here in a while." I voiced.

"No, we haven't."

"We left in such a hurry. There's shit all over the place."

Lizzie raised her head to look around and nodded in agreement after she took everything in. "Let's not worry about that now." She said, placing a kiss to my chest and letting a small smile grow on her face as she watched an innocent blush fill my cheeks. "I'm pretty tired from traveling. Are you?"

"I am."

"Good. How does a couple of movies in bed sound?"

"Sounds absolutely perfect."

We took a shower together to wash up from the lengthy plane ride before changing into some underwear and clean hoodies and crawling into bed. I smiled as the Disney+ logo appeared on the screen and turned my head to Lizzie, giggling when I saw her trying to hide her smile under the thick comforter.

"My girl and her Disney movies." I teased, reaching over to pat her thigh and smiling in contempt as I heard her sweet giggle beside me.

"You like them, too."

"Never said I didn't, baby."

We spent the next few hours being lazy bums and watching a few animated films as our limbs tangled together in a comforting cuddle.

However, my gaze was bouncing back-and-forth from the television, to the mess around the room. It's not that the mess bothered me all that much, it's what it reminded me of that was unsettling.
