"(Y/N)!!! RUN!" Your mother's' voice rings through the air as you both rush to get away from the red inferno consuming your casita. Almost to the front door, your mother pulling you by your arm so hard you feel it may pop from its socket, when the flaming ceiling right in front of you both falls, blocking the door. Running out of ideas, your mother scoops you up and runs towards the kitchen where there wasn't as much fire. She sees the window is clear, and without thinking twice, she kisses your head. "I love you so much, hija." She said softly, looking straight into your eyes before tossing you out the open window before the flames claimed her. Even though the window was on the first floor and only a few feet off the ground, you were only 4 and the landing was painful. You sit up and looked only to see the roaring blaze destroy every part of your home that it touched. The heat burned your tear stained face, and all you could do was scream.

You woke up in a cold sweat, panting heavily.  Shaking violently, the memory playing in your head over and over. "D-deep breaths, (Y/N). Deep breaths.." You repeated as you tried to calm yourself.

"I see you finally woke up, cordero." A voice called, cold and almost full of.. eagerness? You jumped slightly and turned and looked in the direction of the voice. Leaning against a tree was a tall silver wolf, you estimated about 7' tall? He had a patch of darker fur around his eyes that looked similar to a mask. He had glowing red eyes that pierced into your very soul. He donned a black hooded poncho, with brown, almost black wrappings around his wrists and legs, along with a pair of brown pants. You made an important note of the sickles at his hips. "You were out of it for quite a while, I was afraid I stood to watch over a dead body for hours." The wolf chuckled. He stepped off the tree and walked closer to you. You began to shake, terrified he'd pull his weapons from his sides at any moment. Shrinking as much as you could to try and get away from him, he stopped and put his snout up, smelling the air before letting out a chuckle. "I love that smell. The adrenaline in your veins," he stepped closer to you, "Your heart pounding in your throat," He was almost standing over you now, "The look upon your face now even. I find it so thrilling." He growled out the words as he leaned down over you, causing you to whimper in slight terror. "You cheated me out of your soul. Again. And I must say," He looked at his paw for a moment to distract you before he swiftly grabbed a sickle and put the blade around your throat, pinning you to the tree. You gasped and started breathing slightly heavier. "P-please!" You begged, "I don't find it very fair that you get to keep getting away from me like this. Every time I think I get to come to collect you, you ruin it for me." He growled as he glared down at you. "I-I'm sorry! Please let me go, I'm sorry! I don't understand what I did!" Your eyes began to fill with tears as the fear in you only got worse. He looked at you, pushing the blade slightly harder against your neck, cutting you a bit. He growled again before yanking the blade away, turning around and muttering under his breath. You tried desperately to calm yourself, shaking and taking deep breaths, wiping the tears away. "I-I'm sorry for whatever I've done to wrong you. Please don't hurt me. I just want to live my life helping people, I'm not a bad person." You pleaded with him. He begins to laugh and turns back to face you. "That hasn't always been the case now, has it cordero?" You went pale. You began to shake all over again. He threw his head back in laughter. "Relax, my dear. I do not wish to hurt you for things you've done in the past. I know what you do with your life now. I won't lie, it impresses me. Your love for this life, I wish every person had that." You felt yourself stop shaking, but also your face began.. burning slightly? He noticed this and stepped closer to you once more. You looked up at him, a light shade of pink dusting your cheeks and ears. He bent down onto one knee, looking directly at you. Something about his expression softened slightly. So lost in his eyes, you couldn't stop the words from slipping off your tongue. "You're so handsome." He instantly reacted by pulling back slightly, extremely taken aback by your words. He tilted his head a bit, wondering if he had actually heard you right. Your face immediately turned red as you tried to back track. "I-I mean... I um... Sorry..?" You felt so stupid. As if he could read your mind, a wicked smirk crept across his face. "You aren't too bad looking yourself, cordero." He got close, grabbing your chin with one paw and making you look at him. He then got very close and growled into your ear, "I look forward to our next meeting, cordero." He flicked his tongue on your ear, earning him a gasp from you. He chuckled softly before getting up, turning away and walking into the forest. He left you sitting up against a tree, a flustered and blushing mess. Fearing he would come back and toy with you more, you packed up your things, checked the map, and made a beeline for the town to hopefully sleep off the nightmare you had just survived. He watched you from a distance, a smirk still spread across his face. "Corre corre, corderito." (Run run, little lamb.)
