1. Butterflies

Leaving the lecture room and heading over to the photography room to commence this week's club activities, I checked the time, and saw that I was running a bit earlier than usual.

Passing the University gym and seeing the same group of senior guys inside, I decided to stop and check if Lee Know was in there again. Approaching the window, I spotted the girls from last time as well, however, there were only two instead of three.

Seeing them knock and wave, I peered in, and saw Lee Know standing by the bench press wearing an all red outfit, with the front part of the jacket unzipped all the way so his sweaty chest and stomach were in show.

Watching as he took a few swigs from his water bottle, my heart began to race, and butterflies filled my stomach, as I couldn't take my eyes off him. Seeing the sweat on his neck as he tilted his back slightly, the girls began to giggle and say a few things to each other.

"Oh my goodness, I hope Lee Know notices us again." One of them said.

"Yeah, he's so hot." The other replied.

Taking no notice of their remarks, I continued to focus on Lee Know, who was now wiping the side of his neck with a towel, and as he did, the girls began to knock and tap the window at a much more energetic manner, whilst waving excessively. Seeing his attention switch to them, he waved back, but he seemed to be a bit put off by their overly dramatic behaviour, and looked away shortly.

"He noticed us!" One of the girls said.

"I know! Should we go inside and say hi?" The other suggested.

"Do you want to?"

"Yes, let's do it."

"Okay!" : and with that, they walked to the entrance, and as they approached Lee Know a few seconds later, who was now wiping his sweaty stomach, I felt a bit jealous.

Watching the scene unfold, I leaned closer to the window, and saw his expression gradually drop, which was then followed by him attempting to look away, but the girls surrounded his space. As they began to talk whilst giggling to each other, I sighed under myself, and continued to watch on. Seeing Lee Know engage back, a smile appeared on his lips, however, it was only a half one.

Feeling a bit more envious, I looked away, and focused on another person. Spotting Han on the treadmill, his lips formed into a wide smile, which was then followed by him doing a quick wave. Returning the favour, he then exchanged a wink, before turning his attention back to the controls on the treadmill. Taking mine back to Lee Know and seeing he was still talking with the girls, I caressed the side of my neck, and felt the jealousy linger around for a bit longer.

A minute or so later, I decided to go inside to see if he would notice me. Approaching Han once I had entered, who was now slowing the speed of the treadmill down, I gave his arm a gentle tap, which got his attention right away. Turning around and smiling again, he wiped the sweat from his forehead with the sweatband on his left wrist, and hopped off the machine.

"Hey Jihoon, how are you?" He puffed, and retrieved his water bottle from one of the nearby chairs.

"I'm good, and yourself?" I answered, and exchanged a quick glance at Lee Know, who was still talking to the two girls.

"Great babe~ Are you here to do some working out as well?" He replied, and took a seat, whilst puffing a bit louder.

"Uhh, not really. I just wanted to check things out."

"Oh cools! Do you want to join me on the bench press?" He questioned, and took a few quick swings from his water bottle, whilst tilting his head back slightly, which my gaze switch to the sweat on his throat and neck.

"I'm good, thank you though." I answered kindly.

"No worries babe. I'll ask Lee Know then." He winked, and looked over to him.

Doing the same and seeing the girls were finally leaving, a feeling of relief came over me, and as they walked out of the gym, Han made his over with his things. Following, I stood beside him, but shyly avoided Lee Know's gaze.

"Hey, I see you were busy talking to some girls." Han teased.

"Oh yeah, sorry about that. They just came up to me and started to randomly talk about their day." He replied, and let a sigh out from under his breath, whilst wiping the sweat on his forehead. "Anyway, now that's over, should we continue with the bench press?"

"Sure! But before we do, look who decided to join us." Han said, and placed an arm over my shoulder, and gently ushered me forward so I was standing in front of Lee Know, whose lips formed into a warm smile, which was then accompanied by his eyes brightening.

"Jihoon, oh my! It's good to see you again." He cheered, and shook my hands, before playfully ruffling my hair.

Feeling butterflies fill the pit of my stomach at the gentleness of his touch, I returned the favour, and shook his hand back.

"It's good to see you too Lee Know." I said, and felt his fingers lightly intertwine with mine.

"So uhh, are you here to work out as well?" He asked, and pulled away shortly.

"Not really, I just wanted to come and say hello."

"Ah, alright! Well, you're welcome to stay if you're free at the moment." He said.

"I wish, but I need to head off to the photography club." I answered.

"Awww damn, that's alright! Next time then." He smiled.

"Yeah, next time babes." Han added, and winked again.

"For sure, but until then, I better get going! It was nice seeing you two. Have a great session~" : and waved good bye as I left, which made them do the same.

Once I was out of the gym, a warm sensation emerged on my face, and I couldn't help but notice my stomach fill with more butterflies.
