***Quietly entering the mansion, I adjusted my face mask, whilst bringing the bucket hat forward until the front part covered my eyes. Closing the door behind me, I clutched the two books that I had borrowed from the University library against my chest, and approached the staircase.
Seeing that Lee Know was nowhere in sight, it gave me the opportunity to get the wounds on my face cleaned up. Having just gotten into a fight with some guys a few moments ago, the last thing I wanted was for him to scold me.
Lee Know hated it when I got into fights, and although he had taught me how, he never permitted me to use the skills, unless I absolutely had to. And today that time had finally come. However, it didn't end the way I had wished.
Heading up to my room, I placed the books on my desk, and quickly walked over to the on suit so I could get cleaned up. Shutting the door, I approached the sink and removed my hat and face mask. Seeing the inside stained with red, I discarded it, and fetching a clean face towel, I ran it under the warm water, and started wiping the blood on my face away.
Leaning forward to check the wounds, doing so made me realise just how bad they were, and as I continued to clear the blood away, I began to feel anxious of what Lee Know was going to say. Washing the towel and squeezing the excess water out, which made it turn a light red, I focused on my right cheek bone, where there was a cut that bled openly.
Gently sliding the towel over it, I winced about at the stinging sensation that emerged a few seconds later, before clearing the rest away. Rinsing the towel until the blood turned a light red again, I damped the side of my mouth, which had its own cut. Once the blood was gone, I cleaned the rest of my face, before wrapping up a few minutes later.
Hanging the towel on one of the racks, I dried myself off with another, before getting ready to sneak back to my room. Quietly opening the door and peering to the side, I stepped out, and was about to dash over, when an alluring voice emerged from down the hallway.
"Jihoon."
Feeling my body tense up, I quickly entered and fetched a new face mask, whilst putting my bucket hat back on. Doing a brief check in the mirror, the voice emerged once again.
"I know you're there."
Leaving, and nervously making my way down the hallway, I adjusted the face mask and lowered the hat so it was almost covering my eyes. Arriving at his bedroom, I stopped outside, and peered in. And as I did, I caught a glimpse of him sitting on the bed with a glass of wine in one hand, with his phone in the other, dressed in a black, loose fitted blouse, and black slim fit pants.
Stepping a bit inside with my heart gradually racing, he raised his head, and exchanged a cold gaze, which made me tense up even more. Shyly creating sweater paws with the sleeves of my hoodie to hide the blood on my knuckles, he set his phone and the glass down on the bedside table, and did a single gesture with his pointer and middle finger. Bowing slightly, I obeyed, and approached the bed.
"Why are you home so late?" He asked in a calm, yet chilling voice, and sat up.
"I stayed back today Hyung." I quivered, whilst hesitantly adjusting the face mask.
Glancing deep into my eyes with one side of his jaw tensed, with the silence creating a bow tensed feeling in the room, I swallowed for a brief moment, and nervously gazed back at him.
"Hmmm, doing what?" He asked.
"Uni work." : and felt my voice tremble as I answered him.
However, he didn't look convinced, and continued to gaze at me with a serious expression.
"Take your hat and face mask off." He instructed. "You know the rules young man."
But I looked away, and didn't touch either.
"Jihoon." He repeated, and added a bit more aggression to his voice. "Now."
Sighing under my breath, I gently pulled my hat down, and did the same to the face mask afterwards. Once they were off, I kept my head down and avoided his gaze.
Hearing him slide off the bed shortly, he stood up, and cupping my face, he tilted it upwards so he could look into my eyes. Seeing his lips form into a slight frown, with his eyes filling with disgust, he let go, and let out a frustrated sigh.
"You got into a fight, didn't you?"
"Okay, yes I did." I replied.
"And for what?" He challenged.
"Some guys were having a go at me, so I fought back."
"You should of just ignored them." He retorted.
"I couldn't. I had to fight back this time Hyung." I defended.
"Yet here you are looking like a complete mess." He shot, and grabbing a few tissues, he dabbed the side of my lip.
"I'm sorry Hyung. I thought I could fight them." I answered sadly, and watched his hand move to my nose, which had a few droplets of blood just under it.
"Well clearly you couldn't." He said aggressively, and took a fresh lot of tissues, before continuing to clear away any left over blood.
"I'll try harder next time Hyung." : and winced slightly as he pushed a bit too hard into my left nostril.
"There won't be a next time." He countered. "If anyone provokes you, then ignore them, understand?"
"Yes, I understand." I sighed.
A few minutes later, he pulled away, and passing me the used tissues, he didn't say another word, and sat back on the bed, whilst picking up his phone and the glass of wine as if nothing happened.
"Thank you." I concluded in a soft voice. "Good night Hyung." : and left with all my items.
Closing the door, I headed back to my room, and discarded the tissues in the bin under my desk, before getting changed. Folding my dirty clothes, I placed them into the laundry, and went to freshen up. As I brushed my teeth, I glanced at my reflection, and inspected the bruises on the side of my face, which had begun to turn a dark purple.
Five or so minutes later, I wrapped up, and headed back to my room to get ready for bed.
Sliding in and bringing the blanket to my chin, I laid down, and as I gazed up at the ceiling, I couldn't take my mind off everything that had happened.***
