"Cmon kid, wake up." Eda sighed, shaking the girl by her shoulder. Lucia groaned and sat herself up.

"What am I doing here?"

"You came knocking at my door at midnight! What do you mean what're you doing here?" Eda exclaimed, folding her arms in annoyance.

"I... oh." Lucia whispered, remembering the night before and how her and amity had gotten into an argument. "Sorry bout that, I should get out of your hair." The girl said, getting up from the couch she had slept on.

"No, no. Stay. Eat. Talk."

"Okay.."

The elder woman headed off downstairs to wait, while lucia got herself changed into something else. She headed down stairs and was met by king, who was grumpy as ever since had school this morning and eda who was sipping her first cup of coffee.

"Ya want some?" She offered, pulling out another mug anyways. Lucia nodded and sat at the breakfast bar next to king who was picking his cereal.

"Are you gonna eat that Buddy?"

"Aren't you gonna go kiss your girlfriend?" He growled. Lucia backed up, feeling hurt by the comment and rolled her eyes.

"King, that was pretty rude. Apologise to lucia."

"Sorry." He sighed. "I didn't get much sleep last night."

"Why not?" Lucia asked, taking the cup of coffee eda handed to her.

"I heard you and eda talking down stairs and you sounded really mad."

"I was?!"

"You were." Eda snorted. "Not too sure why though, I just figured you failed a test or something."

"Eda why would I be upset about failing a test?"

The woman shrugged and took a bite of her toast that was covered in some strange bitter spread. She offered lucia some but she denied and shook her head.

"Alright king, time for school."

"Noo.." he groaned and picked up his back that he had previously tossed on the floor. Eda grabbed her car keys but was stopped when king asked if he could walk by himself.

"You sure you don't want me to drive you?"

"Yes, I'll be ok." He said, hugging eda and lucia before heading off to school.

"He's growing up so fast." The old lady sniffled before turning to the Latina again.

"What's your catch?"

"W-what?"

"You didn't come here for nothing, kid. I can feel in my old withered bones that you're up to something."

"I'm not up to anything!" Lucia growled, taking an angry sip of her coffee. As much as she wanted to tell eda about what had happened, she didn't want to risk eda thinking of her any differently.

"Kiiiddd, I know there's something up. You gotta tell me." The woman begged. "Mamas needing some drama in her life!"

"Edalyn, can't you see she doesn't want to tell you."

"Lili?! Who let you in?" The elder woman sat up. The blue haired lady approached eda and pat her on the head.

"It's rude to force information out of people."

"Don't you literally work for the police..?" Lucia asked.

Lilith cleared her throat and took a seat at the table. "Not anymore, but that's story for another day.." The woman said, taking a sip out of her sisters coffee, then gagging and spitting out bits of coffee grounds.
